Ingeborgas Bahmanes mākslas un literatūras koncepta atspoguļojums stāstā "Undīne iet"

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir rakstnieces Ingeborgas Bahmanes uzskati par mākslu un literatūru un to uzdevumiem. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā Bahmanes uzskati par mākslu atklājas viņas stāstā Undīne iet un kādēļ ir pamats uzskatīt, ka stāsta galvenā varone ūdens būtne Undīne šajā darbā simbolizē mākslu. Lai atrastu atbildi uz pētījuma jautājumu, tika izklāstīts rakstnieces viedoklis par mākslu un tās uzdevumiem, ko viņa paudusi savos teorētiskajos darbos un runās, un analizēts, kā tas atspoguļojas stāstā Undīne iet, kā arī tika izpētīts, kādi priekšstati literatūrā tiek saistīti ar mitoloģisko būtni Undīni un kādas ir galvenās atšķirības starp Bahmanes stāstu Undīne iet un senākām Undīnes mīta versijām. Pētījumā tika izmantota hermeneitikas metode un salīdzinoša analīze. Tika secināts, ka ūdens būtnes Undīnes, kura stāstā ar apsūdzošu monologu vēršas pie cilvēkiem, lai paskaidrotu, kādēļ nevar dzīvot cilvēku sabiedrībā un vēlas atgriezties ūdens valstībā, galvenais mērķis Bahmanes stāstā ir pievērst lasītāju uzmanību dažādām aktuālām sabiedrības problēmām, likt viņiem kritiski izvērtēt dažādus sabiedrībā valdošos uzskatus, kā arī mudināt viņus uz pārmaiņām. Šo mērķi, ko ar savu monologu vēlas sasniegt Undīne, Bahmane savos teorētiskajos darbos un savos priekšlasījumos Gētes universitātē Frankfurtē minējusi kā mākslas galveno uzdevumu. Ļoti svarīga tēma stāstā Undīne iet ir valoda. Bahmanes Undīne kritizē paviršo un nevērīgo valodas lietojumu ikdienā, kam raksturīgas nobružātas, vispārīgas frāzes un klišejiski izteicieni, kā arī valodas lietošanu manipulācijai vai patiesības sagrozīšanai un slēpšanai. Bahmanes stāstā ikdienas sarunvalodai tiek pretstatīta Undīnes poētiskā valoda, kurai raksturīgas neparastas metaforas un izteicieni, kā arī jaunu nozīmju piešķiršana ikdienā lietotajiem izteicieniem.

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is Ingeborg Bachmann’s concept of art and literature. The aim of this thesis is to find out, how Bachmann’s views on art and its functions are reflected in her short story Undine goes and why the main character of the story, a water nymph named Undine, in this story can be regarded as an allegory for art. In order to find out the answer of this research question, this study provides insight into the Bachmann’s views on art and literature, which Bachmann has expressed in her speeches and in her theoretical writings, and examines how these views are reflected in the short story Undine goes. In this study the short story Undine goes is also compared with older versions of this mythos to find out the main differences between Bachmann’s story and other stories about Undine. The chosen research methods of the thesis are the hermeneutic approach and comparative analysis. The short story Undine goes consists of a monologue, in which the water nymph explains why she cannot stay in human society and wants to return to the water. The research findings show that the main goal of Undine’s monologue is to draw readers' attention to several social problems in modern profit-oriented society, to urge them to take a critical look at the existing social conventions and to motivate them for changes. This goal, which the water nymph wants to attain through her monologue, Ingeborg Bachmann has defined in her speeches and theoretical writings as the main function of art. A very important topic in this short story is language. Undine criticizes the sloppy use of language in everyday life, the use of banal, clichéd, overused phrases and sayings, as well as the use of language for manipulation or for hiding or distorting of the truth. In the story Undine goes the poetic language of Undine is opposed to the everyday language of men.
