Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Natsuo Kirino romāns “Groteska” noir žanra kontekstā” pēta noir žanram rakstūrīgas pazīmes Natsuo Kirino romānā “Groteska”. Darbā ir apskatīti atsevišķi noir elementi un žanrs kopumā, kā arī izvērtēts romāna stils un personāži. Darba mērķis ir noteikt romāna atbilstību noir žanram. Daudzu Natsuo Kirino darbu pamatā ir reālas slepkavības, kuras viņa izmanto, lai radītu romānus, kas stāsta par vidusmēra cilvēkam grūti iedomājām, pārspīlēti tumšām tēmām. Taču par spīti izteiksmīgajiem darbiem, autore, bieži noraidot literatūras kritiķu minējumus, pati atsakās nosaukt žanru, kurā raksta. Noslēpumainība ap romāna “Groteska” žanru paver iespējas veikt padziļinātus pētījumus tā definēšanai. Darbs ir strukturēts trijās daļās. Pirmā daļa “Romāns “Groteska” Natsuo Kirino daiļrades kontekstā” vispārīgi apskata romāna stilu un personāžus, izvērtējot arī virsraksta lomu žanra noteikšanā. Otrā daļa “Romāna “Groteska” žanrs” ir veltīta noir žanra teorijai. Šeit žanrs tiek skatīts tā vēsturiskajā un reģionālajā kontekstā, kā arī tiek nosauktas to definējošās pazīmes un tipāži. Trešā daļa “Noir elementi romānā “Groteska” vēsta par atsevišķiem noir žanram raksturīgiem elementiem un kā tie atklājas romānā “Groteska”. Galvenie elementi ir izdalīti urbānismā, etniskajā un rasu piederībā, materiālismā, pornogrāfijā un femme fatale tipāžā. Darbs rakstīts latviešu valodā. Darba apjoms ir 47 lapaspuses.

The bachelor’s thesis "Natsuo Kirino's Novel "Grotesque" in the Context of the Noir Genre" explores the characteristics of the noir genre in Natsuo Kirino's novel "Grotesque". The reearch work examines certain elements of noir and the genre as a whole, as well as assesses the novel's style and acting characters. The aim of the thesis is to determine the novel's conformity to the noir genre. Many of Natsuo Kirino's works are based on real murders, which she uses to create novels that deal with themes that are difficult for the average person to imagine and that are exaggeratedly dark. Despite the expressiveness of her work, the author herself, often dismissing literary critics' conjectures, refuses to name the genre in which she writes. The mystery surrounding the genre of “Grotesque” opens up the possibility of in-depth research to define it. The research work is divided into three parts. The first part discusses the style and characters of the novel in general terms, while also examining the role of the title in defining the genre. The second part is devoted to the theory of the noir genre. Here the genre is examined in its historical and regional context, and its defining characteristics and typologies are identified. The third part deals with separate elements of the noir genre and how they are revealed in the novel “Grotesque”. The main elements are urbanism, ethnicity and race, materialism, pornography and the femme fatale archetype. The research work is written in Latvian. It is 47 pages long.
