Prozodisko elementu komunikatīvā loma mutvārdu prezentācijās starptautiskai saziņai

Abstract

Prozodiskie elementi ir būtiska sastāvdaļa mutvārdu komunikācijā, kas atspoguļo runātāja attieksmi un emocijas. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot un salīdzināt prozodisko elementu (tonisko zilbju izvietojuma un balss augstuma variāciju) atšķirības starptautiskajās bagātināšanas prezentācijās, ko sniedz runātāji, kuriem angļu valoda ir dzimtā valoda un tiem, kuriem tā nav. Pētījums tika veikts, lasot un analizējot atbilstošu literatūru par prozodiskajiem elementiem un mutvārdu komunikāciju, atlasot sešu starptautisko runātāju prezentācijas ar trīs dažādu valodu izcelsmi un tika veikta diskursa analīze par tonisko zilbju izvietojumu un balss augstuma variācijām izvēlētajos fragmentos. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka visdažādākie intonāciju modeļi ir britu angļu valodas runātājiem un neitrālākie ir vācu valodā runājošiem.

Prosodic features are a crucial part of spoken communication that convey the attitude and emotions of the speaker. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to find out and compare the differences of prosodic features (tonic syllable placement and pitch variations) in international enrichment presentations delivered by native and non-native English speakers. The research was carried out by reading and analyzing relevant literature on prosodic features and spoken communication, selecting six international speakers’ presentations with three different language backgrounds and discourse analysis of tonic syllable placement and pitch pattern variations in the chosen extracts. The results of the research revealed that the most varied intonation patterns are in British English language speakers and the most neutral patterns are in German language speakers.
