Donalda Trampa runu koherences analīze

Abstract

Politiskās runas ir zināmas ar savu pārliecinošo un mērķtiecīgo stilu, lai ietekmētu klausītāju uztveri par noteiktām lietām un situācijām. Veiksmīgai informācijas nodošanai no runātāja uz klausītāju, tekstam jābūt koherentam. Pēc Chilton (2004) domām, politiskās runas ir saistītas ar specifisku valodas lietojumu koherentā diskursā. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt Donalda Trampa runu koherenci. Tā kā novērtējums tiek uzskatīts par vienu no daudzajiem aspektiem, kas palīdz izveidot koherenci, izmantojot biežuma analīzi un diskursa analīzi, darbā galvenā uzmanība pievērsta novērtējuma aspektiem trīs Donalda Trampa prezidentūras paziņojuma runās. Analīze atklāja, ka Donalds Tramps izmanto vairākus lingvistiskos signālus, kas signalizē novērtējumu, visbiežāk saikļus un visus četrus vērtēšanas parametrus.

Political speeches are known for their persuasive and goal-oriented manner to influence the listeners’ perception of certain situations. For a successful transfer of information from the speaker to the listener, the text should be coherent. According to Chilton (2004), political speeches relate to a specific use of language in a coherent discourse. For this research the goal is to analyse the coherence of Donald Trump's speeches. As the evaluation is considered to be one of many aspects which helps to establish coherence, using frequency analysis and discourse analysis, the paper focuses on the aspects of evaluation in three of Donald Trump’s presidential announcement speeches. The analysis revealed that Donald Trump uses multiple linguistic signals signalling evaluation, most frequently conjunctions, and all four evaluative parameters.
