Skandināvu un kuršu attiecības Kurzemes teritorijā vidējā un vēlajā dzelzs laikmetā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir raksturot kuršu un skandināvu kultūras sakarus Kurzemes teritorijā vidējā un vēlajā dzelzs laikmetā. Darba pamatā ir raksturot skandināvu kultūru sakaru ietekmi uz kuršu sociālās uzbūves attīstību, tirdzniecību reliģiskajiem priekšstatiem. Darba izstrādes gaitā tika izmantoti materiāli, kas ietver arheoloģisko izrakumu atskaites, skandināvu rakstītas liecības un zinātniskā literatūra. Darba ietvaros tiek apskatīts kā kuršu apbedījumu tradīcijās ir novērojama skandināvu ietekme uz reliģiskajiem priekšstatiem, kā arī to kapa inventārā sastopamas liecības par tirdzniecības sakariem Skandināvijas reģionu un skandināvu aktivitāšu ietekmi uz kuršu sabiedrības uzbūvi.

Bachelor’s thesis main goal is to characterize the Couronian and Scandinavian cultural relations in Couronia during the Middle and the Late Iron age. At the basis of the thesis is to give insight into the influence of Scandinavian culture in the social development of Couronian society, trade relations and religious concepts. The materials used in the thesis include archaeological excavation reports, the written sources of Scandinavia and scientific literature. Within the realm of thesis, it is discussed the Scandinavian influence in the burial rites of Couronians, and, based on the archeological findings in the burial sites, the evidence to support trade relations between both cultures and the influence of Scandinavian activities in the social structure of the Couronians.
