Sieviete, vīrietis un sociālā vide Andreja Upīša romānā ‘’Sieviete’’

Abstract

Bakalaurs darbs ir pētījums par sieviešu un vīriešu tēliem, kā arī sociālo vidi Andreja Upīša romānā ''Sieviete'', kas tiek apskatīti no dzimumdiferences aspekta. Darba mērķis ir iepazīties ar Andreja Upīša radošo biogrāfiju, analizēt un interpretēt romāna tēlus un vidi, kā arī izpētīt šī romāna rezonansi literatūras kritikā. Darba izstrādē tika izmantotas feministiskās literatūrkritikas teorijas. Darba praktiskajā analīzē tika izmantota salīdzināmā metode, lai analizētu dzimumdiferences aspektus un to attēlojumu romānā. Rakstnieks bagātīgi apraksta gan tradicionālas dzimumlomas, gan arī pārkāpj tās, tādēļ dzimumdiferences aspekti ļauj padziļinātāk izprast tēlu emocijas, motīvus, darbības, socializēšanos ar citiem cilvēkiem, kā arī vispārīgās funkcijas sabiedrībā.

The Bachelor thesis studies female and male characters and also the social environment from the gender difference perspective in Andrejs Upīts’ novel ''A Woman''. The goal of the research is to introduce the reader to the creative biography of Andrejs Upīts, to analyze and interpret the novel's characters and environment portrayed in the novel and research the novel’s resonance in literary criticism. Feminist theories of literary criticism were used in the main part of the research paper. The comparative method was employed to analyze the aspects of gender difference and their representation in the novel. The writer portrays both traditional and reversed gender roles. The aspects of gender difference allow to properly understand portrayed characters’ emotions, motives, actions, interpersonal socializing and also general functions within society.
