Darbības vārdi šķist, šķisties un to lietojums latviešu valodā

Abstract

Iepriekš latviešu valodniecībā darbības vārdi šķist, šķisties galvenokārt pētīti saitiņu aspektā, lielāku uzmanību nepievēršot to semantikai un tās ietekmei uz citu elementu piesaisti teikumā. Tā kā ar darbības vārdiem šķist, šķisties teikumā iespējams izteikt šaubas par īstenības faktiem, izteikuma patiesumu u. tml., tiem piemīt arī modalitāte. Pētījuma aktualitāti un novitāti nosaka tas, ka iepriekš latviešu valodniecībā šo darbības vārdu klasificēšana balstīta tikai to sintaktiskajās funkcijās, pieskaitot tos modificētājiem un vērā neņemot darbības vārdu semantiku, kas atbilst modālajiem darbības vārdiem. Par pētījuma mērķi izvirzīts izpētīt darbības vārdu šķist, šķisties semantiku un tās ietekmi uz šķist, šķisties lietojumu dažādās sintaktiskās konstrukcijās latviešu valodā. Valodas materiāls atlasīts dažādos korpusos, rakstnieku darbos, kas atrodami letonika.lv, plašsaziņas līdzekļos, kā arī privātpersonu blogos. Pētījums sastāv no ievada, saīsinājumu un apzīmējumu saraksta, četrām nodaļām, secinājumiem un izmantotās literatūras saraksta. Secināts, ka darbības vārdu šķist, šķisties modalitāte ir ietverta jau to leksiskajā nozīmē, tādēļ to neietekmē šo darbības vārdu lietojums teikumā, to sintaktiskās funkcijas. Tāpat secināts, ka darbības vārdi šķist, šķisties visbiežāk savu pamatnozīmi atklāj nominālos un adverbiālos teikumos, savukārt kāda no atvasinātajām nozīmēm šiem verbiem visbiežāk piemitīs verbālā teikumā.

Previously, in Latvian linguistics, the verbs šķist, šķisties ‘to seem’ were mainly studied in the aspect of copulas, without paying more attention to their semantics and its influence on the binding of other elements in the sentence. Since the verbs šķist, šķisties ‘to seem’ in a sentence can be used to express doubts about the facts of reality, the veracity of a statement, etc., they also have a modality. The relevance and novelty of the study is determined by the fact that previously in Latvian linguistics the classification of these verbs was based only on their syntactic functions, adding them to modifiers without taking into account the semantics of verbs corresponding to modal verbs. The objective of this study is to examine the semantics of the verbs šķist, šķisties ‘to seem’ and their use in various syntactic constructions in Latvian. The linguistic material was selected from various corpora, writers' works available on letonika.lv, media, as well as private blogs. The study consists of an introduction, a list of abbreviations, four chapters, conclusion and a list of references. It is concluded that the modality of the verbs šķist, šķisties ‘to seem’ is already embedded in their lexical meaning and is therefore not affected by their use in the sentence and their syntactic functions. It is also concluded that the verbs šķist, šķisties ‘to seem’ most often reveal their primamry meaning in nominal and adverbial clauses, while one of the derived meanings of these verbs is most often found in a verbal sentence.
