Dzimumidentitātes aspekti Andreja Upīša romānā “Zelts”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīti Andreja Upīša romāna “Zelts” sieviešu un vīriešu tēli dzimumidentitātes aspektā, izmantojot feminisma un maskulinitātes teorijas. Pirmajā daļā tiek aprakstīta šo teoriju rašanās vēsture un dzimtes teorijas problemātika saistībā anglicisma gender tulkošanu un adaptāciju literāru tekstu analīzē un interpretācijā. Otrajā daļā tiek izklāstīta romānā atspoguļotā 19. un 20. gs. mijas sociāli politiskā un ekonomiskā situācija Latvijā. Trešajā daļā tiek raksturoti vīriešu un sieviešu tēlu veidošanas principi romānā “Zelts”, izgaismojot spilgtākos dzimumlomu stereotipus. Ceturtajā daļā tiek aplūkoti izņēmumu gadījumi, kuros romāna “Zelts” sieviešu un vīriešu tēli netiek veidoti saskaņā ar patriarhālās kultūras dzimumu stereotipiem. Analītisko daļu veido tēlu analīze, balstoties dzimumlomu stereotipos. Darba mērķis ir atklāt sieviešu un vīriešu tēlu dzimumidentitātes konstruēšanas paņēmienus, izmantojot feminisma literatūras teoriju un kritiku sievietes un vīrieša tēla konceptualizācijā, strukturālismu un analītiski interpretatīvo metodi romāna tematiskās struktūras un sieviešu un vīriešu tēlu tipoloģijas analīzē. Darba gaitā secināts, ka romānā ir tikai viens sieviešu tēls, kurš neatbilst dzimumlomu stereotipiem.

The bachelor thesis examines the female and male characters of Andrejs Upītis' novel "Zelts" in the aspect of gender identity, using the theories of feminism and masculinity. The first part describes the history of the emergence of these theories and the problematics of gender theory in relation to the translation and adaptation of Anglicism gender in the analysis and interpretation of literary texts. The second part presents the socio-political and economic situation in Latvia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries as reflected in the novel. The third part describes the principles of male and female characterisation in the novel "Gold", highlighting the most prominent gender stereotypes. The fourth part examines the exceptional cases in which the male and female characters in the novel "Gold" are not constructed according to the gender stereotypes of patriarchal culture. The analytical part consists of an analysis of the characters based on gender stereotypes. The aim of the work is to reveal the techniques of constructing the gender identity of female and male characters using feminist literary theory and criticism in the conceptualisation of the female and male image, structuralism and analytical-interpretive method in the analysis of the thematic structure and typology of female and male characters in the novel. The thesis concludes that there is only one female character in the novel who does not conform to gender stereotypes.
