Darbā izmantotie dati iegūti no LVĢMC veiktā monitoringa un no LIFE Goodwater IP projekta no 2020. līdz 2022. gadam. The disappearance of lakes due to anthropogenic factors would be undesirable both from an ecological point of view and also from a human point of view. To prevent this, it is necessary to monitor and study the lakes. The aim of the study was to uncover the main interactions between the phytoplankton community, physico-chemical parameters, and zooplankton community in Sauka Lake. The data used in the work were obtained from the monitoring carried out by LVĜMC and from the LIFE Goodwater IP project from 2020 to 2022. In general, the phytoplankton biomasses are low in all three years. The dominant phytoplankton types in all years were diatoms and cyanobacteria. Species from the genus Aulacoseira were dominant in all years. Chrysophyta, cryptophytes and the diatom Navicula sp. is possibly the most desirable food for zooplankton in Lake Sauka, whose community consists of key species such as Daphnia cucullata and Mesocyclops leuckarti. According to ecological quality indices, Lake Sauka has good ecological quality.
