Digitālo tehnoloģiju un cilvēka mijiedarbības ētiskās implikācijas: neparedzamās sekas

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai neparedzamās sekas var tikt uzskatītas par tehnoloģiju ētikas kritēriju un kādas sekas šāds skatījums izraisa. Lai to noskaidrotu, darbā analizēta tehnoloģiju un cilvēka mijiedarbības specifika, kā arī digitālajām tehnoloģijām piemītošā virtualitāte. Darbā pierādīts, ka neparedzamās sekas ļauj: (1) atbrīvoties no idejas par ētisku neitralitāti, (2) skaidrot digitālajām tehnoloģijām piemītošo potencialitātes stāvokli, (3) savienot cilvēka-tehnoloģiju mijiedarbības aktoru un mērķtiecīgu darbību.The aim of this master thesis is to determine, if the theory of unintended consequences can be considered as a criterion for the ethics of technology as well as to specify the consequences that this framework prescribes. To achieve this aim, the thesis analyzes the specifics of human-technology interaction, as well as the virtual character of digital technologies. The thesis concludes that the theory of unintended consequences allows: (1) abandoning the idea of ethical neutrality, (2) explaining the disposition of potentiality, characteristic of digital technologies, and (3) combining human-technology interaction-actor with a goal-oriented activity.
