Liepājas pilsēta 1920 - 1934: pašvaldība un iedzīvotāju pilsoniskā līdzdalība

Abstract

Maģistra darbā “Liepājas pilsēta 1920. – 1934. gadā: pašvaldība un iedzīvotāju pilsoniskā līdzdalība” tiek pētīta Liepājas pilsētas iedzīvotāju mijiedarbība ar pašvaldības darbības tiesiskajiem pamatprincipiem. Galvenā uzmanība tiek pievērsta pilsoniskās līdzdalības procesu attīstībai Liepājas pilsētas pašvaldības iekšpolitiskajā situācijā un veidam, kā vietējie iedzīvotāji caur pilsoniskās līdzdalības formām iesaistījās pašvaldības administratīvās, sociālās un saimnieciskās pārvaldes sistēmas veidošanā un pilnveidošanā. Kopumā iedzīvotāju ļoti aktīvi iesaistījās un darbojās pašvaldības politiskās sistēmas ietvaros, cenšoties panākt sociālas un saimnieciskas pārmaiņas, kas uzlabotu to sociālekonomisko stāvokli, bet izvirzītie mērķi, lielākoties, nepiepildījās, jo dome noraidīja lielāko daļu no iedzīvotāju iesniegtajām iniciatīvām.

The master's thesis “Liepaja 1920 -1934: municipality and civil participation of its inhabitants” examines the interactions of the citizens of Liepaja with the legal principles of the municipality. The focus is on the development of the process of civic participation in the internal political situation of the municipality of Liepaja and the way in which residents, through the forms of civic participation, were involved in the improvement of the administrative, social, and economic management system of the municipality. In general, the residents were very actively involved and worked within the political system of the municipality, trying to achieve social and economic changes that would improve their socioeconomic status, but the set goals were mostly not fulfilled, as the city’s council rejected most of the initiatives submitted by the residents.
