Abstract
Child marriage continues to be an ongoing violation of human rights that affects the personal and socioeconomic development of millions of young girls worldwide. International legal initiatives are insufficient, notwithstanding the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), which were ratified also by countries with high rates of child marriage. The study emphasizes how non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can use strategies like community engagement, educational initiatives, and legal advocacy to help close the gap between cultural norms and legal standards. The findings suggest that the successful mitigation and ultimate abolition of child marriage depend on the integration of these tactics within regional cultural contexts.
