Māsu profesionālā loma pacientu izglītošanā par krūts izmeklējumiem

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Māsu profesionālā loma pacientu izglītošanā par krūts izmeklējumiem”. Krūts vēzis ir nozīmīga veselības problēma visā pasaulē, un Latvija nav izņēmums. Ir svarīgi apzināties māsu lomu pacientu izglītošanā par krūts skrīningu, lai uzlabotu veselības rādītājus un samazinātu mirstību. Lai gan māsām ir izšķiroša loma pacientu izglītošanā, Latvijā trūkst pētījumu par māsu lomu šajā jomā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot māsu profesionālo lomu pacientu izglītošanā par krūts izmeklējumiem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika analizēta literatūra par pedagoģijas metodēm un krūts izmeklējumiem, analizēti pacientu izglītošanas materiāli, kurus izmanto māsas, lai izglītotu pacientus par krūts izmeklējumiem. Pacientu aprūpes pamatojums saistīts ar Nolas Penderes veselības veicināšanas modeli. Pētījumam izvēlēta kvantitatīva metode. Uz intervijas jautājumiem atbildēja ambulatorā, onkoloģijā un citās jomās praksē praktizējošas māsas. Pētījuma rezultāti sniedza būtisku informāciju par klīniskajiem testiem, krūts pašpārbaudes un agrīnas problēmas atklāšanas nozīmi. Pētījuma rezultāti norāda arī uz prakses nepilnībām, piemēram, proaktīvu mācību programmu trūkumu un nevienmērīgu reālās prakses demonstrēšanas metožu piemērošanu. Šie jautājumi norāda uz jomām, kuras varētu uzlabot, jo īpaši īstenojot regulārākas izglītojošas intervences un uz pacientu vērstas mācību pieejas. Aizpildot šos trūkumus, varētu ievērojami uzlabot pacientu informētību un iesaistīšanos krūts veselības praksē, kas mudinātu vairāk cilvēku piedalīties krūts slimību agrīnas atklāšanas programmās. The topic of the bachelor thesis is "The professional role of nurses in patient education about breast examinations". Breast cancer is a major health problem worldwide, and Latvia is no exception. It is important to be aware of the role of nurses in educating patients about breast screening in order to improve health outcomes and reduce mortality. Although nurses play a important role in patient education, there is a lack of research on the role of nurses in this area in Latvia. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate the professional role of nurses in patient education about breast examinations. The theoretical part of the thesis analysed the literature on teaching methods and breast examinations, analysed patient education materials used by nurses in order to educate patients about breast examinations. The rationale for patient care is related to Nola Pender's health promotion model. A quantitative method was chosen for the study. Nurses practicing in outpatient, oncology, and other settings responded to survey questions. The results of the study provided important information about clinical tests, breast self-examination and the importance of early problem detection. The results also highlight practice gaps, such as the lack of proactive curricula and the uneven application of real-life demonstration methods. These issues point to areas for improvement, in particular through more regular educational interventions and patient-centred teaching approaches. Closing these gaps could significantly improve patient awareness and engagement in breast health practices, which would encourage more people to participate in early breast detection programmes.
