Mākslīgā intelekta lietojums tulkošanā no angļu valodas latviešu valodā

Abstract

Līdz ar tehnoloģiju straujo attīstību aktualizējies jautājums par to, vai mākslīgais intelekts apdraud tulkotāju darbu. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt mākslīgā intelekta rīku izmantošanu literāru darbu tulkošanā no angļu valodas latviešu valodā, salīdzinot šo rīku veikumu ar profesionāla tulkotāja tulkojumu. Darba ietvaros tik veikta mākslīgā intelekta attīstības izpēte, identificēti populārākie tulkošanas rīki, un veikta tulkojumu salīdzināšana, izmantojot automātiskās novērtēšanas metrikas. Pētījumā tika konstatēts, ka mākslīgā intelekta tulkošanas rīki pagaidām nespēj pilnībā aizvietot tulkotājus.

With the rapid development of technology, the question of whether artificial intelligence threatens the jobs of translators has become relevant. The aim of this study is to explore the use of artificial intelligence tools in translating literary works from English into Latvian, comparing the performance of these tools with that of a professional translator. Within the scope of the study, research on the development of artificial intelligence was conducted, the most popular translation tools were identified, and translations were compared using automatic evaluation metrics. The study found that artificial intelligence translation tools are not yet able to fully replace translators.
