Arābu tēls latviešu presē no 1822. līdz 1881. gadam

Abstract

Bakalaura darba ,,Arābu tēls latviešu presē no 1822. līdz 1881.’’ mērķis ir rekonstruēt arābu tēlu latviešu presē laika posmā no 1822. līdz 1881. gadam. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām: Pirmajā nodaļā dots būtiskākās informācijas apkopojums par 19. gadsimta laikrakstiem, kuros rakstīja par arābiem. Otrajā nodaļā analizēts, kā tika aprakstīti arābi kā preses lasītāja laikabiedri. Trešajā nodaļā analizēts, kā tika raksturoti arābi kā abstrakcijas, galvenokārt ar vēsturi un literatūru saistītos rakstos. Darba rezultātā tika izdarīts secinājums, ka arābi latviešu presē attēloti dažādos kontekstos, un par tiem atrodamās ziņas nav viendabīgas, tomēr pārsteidz dažādu arābu kultūras iezīmju apraksta detalizācijas pakāpe. Darba izstrādē izmantoti 112 periodiskās preses avoti un 27 zinātniskās literatūras avoti. Darbs sastāv no 43 lappusēm un 5 pielikumiem.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis ,,The Image of Arabs in the Latvian Press from 1822 to 1881’’ is to reconstruct the image of Arabs in the Latvian press between 1822 and 1881. The bachelor’s thesis consists of 3 chapters: The first chapter summarizes the most relevant information about 19th century periodicals in which Arabs were written about. The second chapter analyses how Arabs were described as contemporaries of the press reader. The third chapter analyses how Arabs were described as abstractions, mainly in articles tied to history and literature. As a result of the work, it was concluded that Arabs are represented in Latvian press in different contexts, and the information found about them is not homogenous, however, it is surprising by the level of detail of the description of various features of Arab culture. 112 periodic press sources and 27 scientific literature sources have been used to develop the thesis. The work consists of 43 pages and 5 attachments.
