Būvniecības nozares terminoloģijas tulkošanas aspekti (Eirokodeksu 2. paaudze)

Abstract

Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir analizēt būvniecības nozares standartu tulkošanas un terminoloģijas aspektus, kā piemēru ņemot vienu no apjomīgākajiem Eiropas Standartizācijas komitejas izstrādātajiem un latviešu valodā visnesenāk tulkotajiem 2. paaudzes Eirokodeksiem, kas ietver lielu daudzumu nozarei ļoti specifisku terminu, tādējādi radot ne mazums jautājumu par precīzu oriģinālsatura atveidi latviešu valodā. Darbā aplūkota Eirokodeksu definīcija un nozīme pasaules, Eiropas un Latvijas mērogā, Eirokodeksu attīstības vēsture un ieviešana, kā arī vispārīgi vērā ņemami Eiropas standartu un būvniecības nozares tulkošanas un terminoloģijas aspekti. Darba praktiskajā daļā ir apkopoti un analizēti 9. Eirokodeksa pamatdokumenta (EN 1999-1-1) termini, kuri tika rūpīgi atlasīti un iekļauti Eirokodeksa tulkojumā sadarbībā ar būvniecības nozares tehnisko ekspertu. Tika secināts, ka būvniecības terminoloģijai var atrast veiksmīgus ekvivalentus latviešu valodā un ir nepieciešams turpināt darbu pie būvniecības nozares terminu sistematizēšanas, iesaistot gan valodas, gan būvniecības speciālistus.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to analyse the translation and terminology aspects of the standards of the construction industry, taking as an example one of the most extensive 2nd generation Eurocodes, developed by the European Committee for Standardisation and most recently translated into Latvian, which includes a large number of very specific terms for the industry, thus raising questions about the precise rendering of the original content in Latvian. The work looks at the definition and role of Eurocodes at global, European and Latvian level, the history and implementation of the development of Eurocodes, as well as generally relevant translation and terminology aspects of European standards and the construction industry. The practical part of the work summarises and analyses the terms of the principal document of the 9th Eurocode (EN 1999-1-1), which were accurately selected and included in the translation of the Eurocode in close cooperation with the technical expert in the construction industry. It was concluded that successful equivalents can be found for construction terminology in Latvian and it is necessary to continue work on the systematisation of the terms of the construction industry, involving both language and construction specialists.
