15.-17. gadsimta latīņu epitāfijas Rīgā: formas un satura iezīmes

Abstract

Maģistra darba “15.-17. gadsimta latīņu epitāfijas Rīgā: formas un satura iezīmes” mērķis ir izpētīt 15.-17. gadsimta latīņu epitāfiju Rīgā satura un formas iezīmes, izvērtējot tās saistībā ar romiešu latīņu epitāfijas tradīcijām, kā arī 15.-17. gs. perioda sociālās un kultūras īpatnībām Rīgā. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkoti tādi teorētiskie aspekti kā epitāfijas žanra veidošanās, attīstība, raksturīgākās iezīmes. Pētījuma praktiskajā daļā iztulkotas un analizētas astoņas epitāfijas latīņu valodā. Tās analizētas no vairākiem skatupunktiem, aplūkojot antīkās kultūras klasisko epitāfiju modeļu ietekmi un laikmetam raksturīgās iezīmes.

The aim of the Master`s Thesis "Latin epitaphs of the 15th - 17th century in Riga: features of form and content" is to explore the features of the form and content of the 15th-17th century Latin epitaphs in Riga, evaluating them in relation to the traditions of Roman Latin epitaphs as well as social and cultural characteristics of the period of the 15th-17th century in Riga. In the theoretical part of the work such aspects, as the formation, development, and most characteristic features of the epitaph genre are studied. In the practical part of the study, eight epitaphs in Latin have been translated and analyzed. They have been analyzed from several points of view, evaluating the influence of classical epitaph models of ancient culture and what characteristic features of the era have been observed.
