Tartu universitātes nozīme Latvijas izglītības kontekstā

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek aprakstīta Tartu Universitātes nozīme mūsdienu Latvijas izglītības kontekstā. Bakalaura darbs ir iedalīts trīs daļās; pirmajā daļā tiek aprakstīta Tartu Universitātes vēsture un tās nozīme Latvijā, darba otrajā daļā ir aprakstīta pētījuma metodika, pievēršot lielāku uzmanību anektēšanas metodei, kas tiek izmantota pētījumā, bakalaura darba trešajā daļā tiek analizēti aptaujā iegūtie dati. Bakalaura darba rezultāti parāda, ka Tartu Universitāte ir svarīga apmaiņas studentiem, kā arī tiem studentiem, kam interesē apgūt somugru valodas, visbiežāk igauņu vai lībiešu valodu. Somugristikas jomā Tartu Universitāte ir nozīmīga arī tāpēc, ka Latvijā nav iespējams turpināt maģistra studijas somugristikā – Tartu Universitāte ir Latvijai tuvākā universitāte, kas piedāvā iespēju studēt somugru studijas maģistrantūrā. This Bachelor’s thesis describes the importance of the University of Tartu in Latvia’s current educational context. The thesis is divided into three parts; the first sections gives an insight into the history and the importance of the University of Tartu to Latvia; the second part describes the methodology of the study, focusing on the questionnaire method employed in thesis, and finally, the third part presents analysis and discussion of the results. The aim of the research is to clarify the role of University of Tartu in Latvia’s current educational context among Latvian students nowadays. The results show that the University of Tartu is important for Latvian exchange students as well as for students who are interested in studying Finno–Ugric languages, most frequently Estonian or Livonian. In the field of Finno–Ugristics, the University of Tartu is important to Latvians due to the lack of Master’s degree programme in Finno–Ugristics in Latvia – it is the closest university to Latvia that offers a possibility to pursue the Master’s degree in Finno–Ugric studies.
