Abstract

Maģistra darbs analizē “garīgās vardarbības” fenomenu kristīgajā vidē, izceļot teoloģisko aspektu kā būtisku izpratnes komponenti. Darba centrā ir garīgo vadītāju empīriskie novērojumi, kas ļauj identificēt rīcības, kuras tiek atzītas par emocionāli kaitējošām. Pētījums uzsver, ka papildus emocionālajai ietekmei, šajās rīcībās var novērot arī garīgo ietekmi. “Garīgā vardarbība” bieži tiek teoloģiski attaisnota, kas var radīt sagrozītu priekšstatu par ticību. Autores pieredze kapelānes darbā un teoloģiskajās studijās nodrošina padziļinātu skatījumu uz šī fenomena ietekmi, ticību un attiecībām ar Dievu. Pētījumā apvienota literatūras analīze, kvantitatīvo datu apstrāde, kvalitatīvo komentāru interpretācija un teoloģiska refleksija.

“Spiritual abuse” This master’s thesis explores the phenomenon of spiritual abuse in Christian contexts, highlighting the theological dimension as crucial for understanding its impact. Based on empirical insights from spiritual leaders, the research identifies behaviors perceived as emotionally and spiritually harmful. Often concealed or justified with theology, spiritual abuse may distort views of God and faith. Drawing from the author’s experience in chaplaincy, spiritual guidance, and theological studies, the thesis provides a deepened perspective on how such abuse affects one’s relationship with God. A mixed-methods approach is used, combining literature analysis, quantitative data processing, qualitative commentary, and theological reflection.
