Uguns rituālu nozīme Skandināvijā 6. – 11. gadsimtā

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek aplūkotas uguns rituālu reliģiskās, sociālās un apbedīšanas funkcijas Skandināvijā no 6. līdz 11. gadsimtam. Šis pētījums atklāj, kā uguns kalpoja kā līdzeklis mirušo apbedīšanai un komunikācijai ar dievišķo. Darbā tiek aplūkoti arheoloģiskie dati, vēstures avoti, kā arī akadēmiskās interpretācijas. Lai izprastu uguns rituālu nozīmi skandināvu mitoloģijā un sabiedrībā, šajā bakalaura darbā tiks aplūkota skandināvu mitoloģija, kremēšanas process, upurēšana un uguns izmantošana citās ceremonijās. Šis pētījums uzsver uguns rituālu nozīmi Skandināvijas sabiedrības dzīvē, nāvē un pēcnāves priekšstatos, kontekstualizējot šīs prakses to kultūras un teoloģijas ietvaros.

This bachelor's thesis examines the religious, social, and funerary functions of fire rituals in Scandinavia from the 6th to the 11th centuries. This study reveals how fire served as a means of burial of the dead and communication with the divine. The work examines archaeological data, historical sources, as well as academic interpretations. In order to understand the significance of fire rituals in Scandinavian mythology and society, this bachelor's thesis will examine Scandinavian mythology, the process of cremation, sacrifice, and the use of fire in other ceremonies. This study emphasizes the significance of fire rituals in the life, death, and afterlife of Scandinavian society, contextualizing these practices within their culture and theology.
