Latvijas sociāldemokrātiskās strādnieku partijas darbība Gulbenē (1919.–1934.g.)

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir analizēt Latvijas Sociāldemokrātiskās strādnieku partijas un ar to saistīto organizāciju darbību Vidzemes mazpilsētās, balstoties uz Gulbenes piemēru, laika posmā no LSDSP Gulbenes nodaļas dibināšanas 1919. gadā līdz Kārļa Ulmaņa apvērsumam 1934. gadā, pievēršot īpašu uzmanību nodaļas darbības galvenajiem aspektiem – nodaļas valde, vēlēšanas, sakari ar strādnieku organizācijām. Darbā secināts, ka nodaļa ieguva augstus rezultātus pašvaldības vēlēšanās, pateicoties konkurences trūkumam un dzelzceļnieku īpatsvaram. Taču nodaļas darbībā iezīmējās zems biedru skaits, pasivitāte un materiālie trūkumi. Aktīvāku nodaļas darbību kavēja zemā politiskā iesaiste reģionā un LSDSP Centrālās Komitejas trūkstošā kapacitāte palīdzēt mazpilsētu nodaļām.

The aim of the work is to analyse the activities of the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' party and its related organizations in the small towns of Vidzeme, based on the example of Gulbene, in the period from the establishment of the LSDWP Gulbene branch in 1919 to the coup in 1934, paying particular attention to the main aspects of the branch's activities – the board, elections, and relations with other organizations. The work concludes that the branch achieved high results in the municipal elections due to the lack of competition and the proportion of workers. However, the branch's activities were characterized by a low number of members, passivity, and material shortages. The branch's activities were hindered by the low political activity in the region and the lack of capacity of the LSDWP Central Committee to assist local branches.
