Sokratiskas draudzības jēdziens Platona ētikas nostādnēs

Abstract

Sokrata aicinājums rūpēties par dvēseli ir viens no nozīmīgākajiem viņa domas elementiem, taču tas neparedz vērstību tikai uz sevi – gluži pretēji, tas pieprasa starppersonu attiecības, kas veicina sevis izziņu un tikumu attīstību. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek izstrādāts sokratiskās draudzības kā īpašu attiecību jēdziens, kas atvasināts no Sokrata filosofijas pamatelementiem – aicinājuma rūpēties par dvēseli un sarunas/dialoga. Darbā tiek aplūkoti Platona dialogi (īpaši Alkibiads I), lai izprastu, kā saruna un savstarpējā mijiedarbe veicina un kļūst par piemērotāko vidi dvēseles pilnveidei.

Socrates’ call to care for the soul is a fundamental element of his thought. However, it does not imply a focus solely on oneself – on the contrary, it necessitates interpersonal relationships that foster self-knowledge and the development of virtues. This bachelor's thesis examines Socratic friendship as a distinct form of relationship that emerges from the core elements of Socratic philosophy: the call to care for the soul and the significance of dialogue. The study explores key Platonic dialogues (especially Alcibiades I) to understand how conversation and interpersonal engagement function as mechanisms for the soul’s development.
