Abstract

Maģistra darbā “Raganas tēls Jurgas Ivanauskaites romānā “Ragana un lietus” un Dainas Tabūnas romānā “Raganas” ” tiek apskatīts, kā mūsdienu sieviešu literatūrā tiek atainots raganas tēls, pievēršoties mūsdienu literatūras diviem spilgtākajiem romāniem, kuros atainots sievietes – raganas tēls. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izzināt raganas tēla literāro aktualizāciju mūsdienu Baltijas sieviešu literatūrā, izceļot Jurgas Ivanauskaites romānu “Ragana un lietus” un Dainas Tabūnas romānu “Raganas”, un atklājot kopīgo un atšķirīgo raganas tēla veidojumā. Autore darbā atklāj, ka abos romānos raganas tēls nav tikai mitoloģisks, tas simbolizē sievietes identitāti, atklāj sarežģītās attiecības ar savu ķermeni, seksualitāti, sabiedrības spiedienu, sievišķības konstruktiem un vietu sabiedrībā.

The master’s thesis "The Image of the Witch in the Novels “The Witch and the Rain” by Jurga Ivanauskaite and “Witches” by Daina Tabuna” examines how the image of the witch is portrayed in contemporary women's literature, focusing on two of the most prominent novels in contemporary literature that portray the image of a woman as a witch. The aim of the thesis is to explore the literary actualization of the image of the witch in contemporary Baltic women's literature by highlighting the two novels and to reveal the commonalities and differences in the construction of the image of the witch. In both novels, the image of the witch is not only mythological, it symbolises a woman's identity, reveals her complex relationship with her body, sexuality, social pressures, constructs of femininity and her place in society.
