Valsts un baznīcas attiecības K. Ulmaņa autoritārās valdības laikā (1934.-1940.)

Abstract

Darba tēma ir – valsts un baznīcas attiecības K. Ulmaņa autoritārās valdības laikā (1934. -1940.g.). Ievadā izvirzīju tēzi, ka šīs attiecības bija diferencētas un balstījās uz valdības selektīvas labvēlības paušanu tās izvēlētām konfesijām, kā arī visu konfesiju darbību novērošanu un regulēšanu. Aplūkojot dažādus vēsturiskus faktus, kā arī atsevišķām konfesijām veltītus citu autoru vēsturiska rakstura darbus, centos iegūt skaidrību dotajā tēmā. Es aplūkoju gan valdības ideoloģiskos uzstādījumus, gan tās veikto likumdošanas darbu reliģijas jomā. Piecās nodaļas es aplūkoju atsevišķu konfesiju, proti, Ev. luteriskās, Romas katoļu, Pareizticīgo, Vecticībnieku un Baptistu baznīcas situāciju autoritārās valdības laikā. Vienu nodaļu veltīju nelielo konfesiju apstākļu ilustrēšanai, jo tās atradās savdabīgā situācijā. Iegūtā informācija apstiprināja sākumā izvirzīto tēzi.

The theme of my work is – relations between state and church in the time of K. Ulmanis government (1934.-1940). In the beginning I suggested that these relations were very different and were based on the Government’s expression of selective favour towards denomination it selected. State also observed and controlled the actions of the churches. I tried to get some understanding about this issue by examining different historical facts and also by getting acquainted with other author’s historical essays on single denominations. There are the government’s ideological portrait and also it’s lawmaking work in the sphere of religion in my paper. In five chapters I give the description of the situations of five churches in this time. These are the Lutheran Church, Roman Catholic Church, Orthodox Church, Old-believers church and Baptist church. One chapter is devoted for displaying conditions in which small religious denominations were. Their situation was very particular. Collected information confirmed suggestion I made in the beginning of my paper.
