Abstract

Bibliskā naratīva ekseģēze sastopas ar problēmām, nosakot iekšējo un ārējo kontekstu, kā arī atrodot teksta nozīmes pielietojumu. Tas saistīts gan ar to, ka bibliskā naratīva žanrs un izcelsmes kultūra ir mūsdienām sveša, gan ar mūsdienu tendenci šos šķēršļus pārvarēt, primāri lietojot dabaszinātnēm raksturīgus paņēmienus. Tāpēc teksts galvenokārt tiek uztverts kā pētāms objekts, kas ir atšķirts no lasītāja. Šis darbs teorētiski pamato un demonstrē lasītāja meklējumu kā ekseģēzes metodi, kas primāri iesaista lasītāju kā dalībnieku tekstā, tādējādi izveidojot kontaktu ar tekstu, kā arī nodrošinot, ka konteksts un pielietojums ir saprasts. Lasītāja meklējuma pieeja ir atvasināta no sižeta, vēstītāja pozīcijas un spriedzes jēdzieniem; tā paredz un koordinē to, kā tiek izmantotas visas pārējās ekseģēzes metodes.

Exegesis of the Biblical narrative is challenged while establishing the inner and outer context of the passage, as well as while seeking applications of the text. This is caused by the genre and culture of Biblical narrative being foreign to the modern reader, and the tendency of the modern mind to overcome these obstacles chiefly by means that are characteristic to natural sciences. As a result, text is viewed as an object to analyze, separated from the reader. This work establishes a theory for the reader’s quest and demonstrates it in practice as an exegetical method whose primary goal is to engage the reader with the text. This secures the reader’s contact with the text, as well as enables the understanding of context and application. The approach of the reader’s quest is derived from the concepts of plot, narrator’s point of view, and suspense; it also presumes and determines the use of all other exegetical methods.
