"Valstība" Toma evaņģēlijā

Abstract

Šis maģistra darbs izpēta “valstības” valodas, jēdziena un tā iespējamās izpratnes Toma evaņģēlijā. Toma ev. pētnieku vidū nav īstas skaidrības par to, ko tieši Toma ev. autors domā ar valstības valodu un tās jēdzienu. Daži pētnieki ir norādījuši uz valstības saistību ar pašizziņu. Tomēr šī sasaiste starp valstības jēdzienu un pašizziņu ir ļoti neskaidra. Šajā darbā izvirzu tēzi, ka valstību Toma evaņģēlijā var izprast un skaidrot kā pašizziņas procesa galarezultātu. Izzinot sevi, cilvēks atklāj valstību tagadnē, sevī un ārpus sevis.

This paper explores the concept, possible understanding and definition of the term “kingdom” in the Gospel according to Thomas. There is little clarity amongst scholars as to what the author of this Gospel is suggesting with his concept and language of Kingdom. Still some scholars have associated kingdom with self-knowledge. However this connection between the concept of kingdom and self-knowledge remains unclear. This paper deals whit the thesis, that the idea of kingdom in the Gospel of Thomas can be understood as a result of the self-knowledge process. Through knowing oneself, one discovers kingdom in the very present moment, within and without oneself.
