Ētiskais veģetārisms kristietībā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Ētiskais veģetārisms kristietībā” pētīti veģetāra dzīvesveida motīvi Bībelē un atsevišķu teologu viedokļi par dzīvnieka dzīvības vērtību, kā arī iespējamie veģetārisma ētiskie imperatīvi. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai kristietībā var atrast atbalstu veģetārisma idejai, kas balstīta morālos apsvērumos par dzīvnieku tiesībām vai dzīvnieku labturību. Darbā tiek secināts, ka, lai gan veģetārisma ievērošana ētisko apsvērumu vārdā kristietībā nav pieprasīta, selektīva gaļas ēšana kā viena no veģetārismam tuvākajām praksēm atbilst kristieša ētiskai izvēlei, sekojot Kristus žēlsirdības paraugam. This paper: „Ethical Vegetarianism in Christianity” is reserched on motives of vegetarian lifestyle in Bible, and opinions of certain theologists about the value of animal life, as well as the posible ethical imperatives for vegetarianism. The objective is to find out where one can find support for the idea of vegetarianism in Chritianity. The conclusion is, that nevertheless there is no demand for vegetarianism in Chirtianity based on ethical grounds, selective meat eating as one of the nearest praxis to vegetarianism is an appropriate ethical choise for a christian.
