Abstract

Tiek apgalvots, ka visuma fundamentālie fizikālie parametri ir ārkārtīgi pielāgoti dzīvības pastāvēšanai. Izmainot tajos pat ļoti niecīgu daļu, dzīvība mums pazīstamajā formā vairs nevarētu eksistēt. Šī fizikālo parametru „noregulētība” tiek piedēvēta mērķtiecīgai Dieva darbībai, lai visumā varētu rasties dzīvība. Bakalaura darba galvenais mērķis ir izvērtēt „noregulētā visuma” argumenta pamatojumu, ieskatoties dažādu autoru viedokļos par šo jautājumu. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīts „noregulētā visuma” argumenta pakāpeniskas attīstības vēsturiskais konteksts, otrajā nodaļā izklāstīts argumenta pamatojums un dažādi viedokļi par šo jautājumu, un trešā nodaļa ir veltīta kritikai. Darba noslēgumā tiek veikti atbilstoši secinājumi par tā efektivitāti.

It is claimed that physical parameters of the universe are very fine-tuned for the existence of life. By slightly chaging even one of them, life as we know it could not exist. This fine-tuning of physical parameters is claimed to be a purposeful action of God, so that life could evolve in the universe. The main purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to assess the reasoning under the argument for fine-tuning by looking at opinions of some relevant authors. The first chapter will give an overview of the gradual developement of the fine-tuning argument trough history, the second chapter expounds substantiations of this argument and analyses different opions about it, and the third chapter contains its criticism, while at the end of the work some conclusions are made as to its viability.
