Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tēma ir bērnu kristības 1.-4.gs. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt bērnu kristību praksi un salīdzināt dažādu teologu viedokļus par to. Bakalaura darba tēze: Bērnu kristību prakse ir bijusi aktuāla 1.-4.gs neskatoties uz to, ka literatūras avotos šīs prakses apraksti ir sastompami ierobežotā apjomā. Darbā tiek: •apskatīts vēsturiskais konteksts kristietībā 1.-4.gs.; •pētīta agrīnās baznīcas kristību prakses terminoloģija, izcelsme un bibliskais pamatojums; •aprakstītas bērnu kristības Jaunās Derības ietvaros un vēsturiskie aspekti, kas liecina par bērnu kristību praksi 1.-4.gs. •salīdzināti Rietumu un Austrumu baznīcu teologu viedokļi par bērnu kristībām 1.-.4.gs. Darbā tiek izmatnoti Tertulliāna, Cipriāna, Augustīna, Gregora no Nazianzas, Jāņa Hrizostoma un Origena darbi, kā arī Everetta Fergusona, Jaroslava Pelikana, Joahima Jeremija un citu autoru darbi.

The title of the Paper is Infant Baptism in the 1st to 4th Centuries. The goal of Paper is to explore infant baptismal practices and to compare opinions about infant baptism from a view of different theologians. The thesis of the work is as follows: Infant baptism was real practice in the 1st to 4th centuries, despite the lack of baptismal practice descriptions in literal sources. In this Paper following acitvities have been done: •Historical context of Christianity in the 1st to 4th centuries has been described; •Terminology, origins and biblical foundations of early christian church has been described; •Infant baptism described in the New Testament and historical aspects of infant baptismal practice in the 1st to 4th have been analyzed; •opinions of East and West church theologians about infant baptism have meen compared. In this paper works of following authors have been analyzed: Tertullian, Cyprian, Augustin, Gregory of Nazianzus, John Chrysostom and Origen, as well as works of Everett Ferguson, Jaroslav Pelikan, Joachi Jeremias and others.
