Faustiskās tradīcijas transformācijas Marģera Zariņa romānā "Viltotais Fausts jeb pārlabota un papildināta pavārgrāmata"

Abstract

Šī pētījuma priekšmets ir Marģera Zariņa romāns „Viltotais Fausts jeb pārlabota un papildināta pavārgrāmata” faustiskās tradīcijas kontekstā. Darbā aplūkotas faustiskās tradīcijas transformācijas, sākot ar tās pirmsākumiem (tautas grāmata, Kristofera Mārlova „Traģiskais stāsts par doktoru Faustu”), tālāko attīstību (Johana Volfganga fon Gētes „Fausts”) un beidzot ar 20. gadsimtu (Pola Valerī „Mans Fausts” un Tomasa Manna „Doktors Fausts”). Pētījums liek secināt, ka aplūkotajā Marģera Zariņa romānā, kas piederīgs postmodernisma literatūrai, faustiskā tradīcija transformēta radikāli. Galvenie līdzekļi, ar kuriem tas panākts, ir faustiskā un mefistofeliskā profanācija un to īpašību difūzija, kā arī intertekstualitāte, kas, palielinot darba semantisko potenciālu, palielina arī tā nenoteiktību.

The subject of this research paper is the novel „Mock Faustus or the Corrected Complemented Cooking-Book” by Marģers Zariņš in the context of the Faust tradition. The transformations of the tradition are examined, including its formation (the chapbook, as well as the tragedy „The Tragicall History of Doctor Faustus” by Christopher Marlowe), development („Faust” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe) and the metamorphoses undergone in the 20th century („My Faust” by Paul Valery and „Doctor Faustus” by Thomas Mann). The results of the research indicate that the Faust tradition has been transformed radically in the aforementioned novel. This has been achieved by the means of profanation of the faustian and mephistophelean elements, as well as intertextuality, which increases the semantic potential and the ambiguity of the novel.
