Latīņu sentences stilistiskā uzbūve (Plīnija epistulārie teksti)

Abstract

Maģistra darbam „Latīņu sentences stilistiskā uzbūve (Plīnija epistulārie teksti)” tika izvirzīts mērķis atklāt un klasificēt, kādus stilistiskos paņēmienus autors izmantojis sentenču veidošanā. Sentences tika atlasītas no Plīnija I-IX.vēstuļu grāmatu tekstiem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika aplūkots sentences termins, jēdziena raksturojums un iedalījuma veidi, kā arī sentenču izmantošana. Šī daļa galvenokārt balstīta uz Kvintiliāna „Institutio Oratoria”, darbu „Rhetorica Ad Herennium” (šie divi darbi tiek izmantoti arī, apskatot domu un runas figūras) un Aristoteļa „Retoriku”. Teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīts arī Plīnija vēstuļu vispārīgs raksturojums un stils. Praktiskajā daļā sentences tika klasificētas un analizētas pēc to stilistiskās uzbūves veidojošajiem elementiem, par pamatu ņemot antīko teorētiķu noteiktās domu un vārdu figūras. Tika pievērsta uzmanība arī sentenču novietojumam vēstulē, vērtējot, kā tas ietekmē tās uzbūvi. Tika secināts, ka visvairāk autors izmantojis antitēzes, salīdzinājumus, vārdu spēles, pieaugumu, kā arī citētās sentences un sentences ar ievadvārdiem. Daudzos gadījumos ir grūti iedalīt sentences pēc viena elementa, jo tajā tiek lietoti vairāki elementi.

Work’s „Stylistic Structure of the Latin Maxim (Pliny’s Epistolary Texts)” aim was to find out and classify what kind of stylistic methods author had used in making the maxim. Maxims were picked from Pliny’s letters of Books I-IX. In the theoretical part of this work term of maxim, concept’s description and classification of maxims, as well as use of maxims is considered. This chapter is mostly based on Quintilian’s “Institutio Oratoria”, “Rhetorica Ad Herennium” (these two works are also used, considering elements and figures) and Aristotle’s “The Art of Rhetoric”. There is also a general description and style of Pliny’s letters in the theoretical part. In the practical part of this work maxims were classified and analyzed by the elements of their stylistic structure, based on figures of speech and figures of thought which are determined by ancient theoreticians. Maxim’s position in letter also was considered to see whether and how that affects its stylistic structure. Mostly author had used antithesis, comparison, word games, figures of increment, quoted maxims and maxims with introductory words. Frequently it’s hard to divide maxims based on one figure because there are different elements/figures in one maxim.
