Abstract
Darbā analizēts Jāņa Plauža romāna „Ģimnāzisti” (1935) jaunās paaudzes tēls 20.gadsimta 20.-30.gadu romānistikas kontekstā. Tas salīdzināts ar Pāvila Rozīša romānu „Valmieras puikas” (1936) un Jāņa Veseļa romānu „Dienas krusts”(1931).
Darbā pētīti 20. gadsimta 20.-30.gadu jaunās paaudzes ētiskie meklējumi, īpašu vērību veltot intelektuālajam un morālajam aspektam. Analizētas dažādu paaudžu uzskatu sadursmes.
Aplūkotas romāna kompozīcijas īpatnības.
Izmantojot J.Plauža un citu 20.-30. gadu rakstnieku darbus, kuros tēlota jaunā paaudze, mēģināts aprakstīt un izvērtēt jaunās paaudzes tēlu latviešu literatūrā.

In my study I am analysing the image of the new generation in the novel „Students of the Grammar School” by J. Plaudis (1935) in the context of novel writing of the 20’s and 30’s of the 20th century. It is comparised with the novel „Boys of Valmiera” by P. Rozītis (1936) and „The Cross of In my research work the ethical searchings of the generation of the 20’s and 30’s of the 20th century are explored. Attention is devoted to the intellectual and moral aspect and the clash of world outlook between different generations is analysed. Further are the peculiarities of novel composition discussed. Using the novel by J. Plaudis and other novelists of the 20’s and 30’s of the 20th century, in which the new generation is described, I am discussing and evaluating the image of the new generation in Latvian literature.
