Pavēles izteiksmes modālās funkcijas latviešu valodā

Abstract

Darba uzmanības centrā ir pavēles izteiksmes modālo funkciju analīze latviešu valodā, balstoties galvenokārt uz F.R. Palmera, V. Plungjana, Dž. Laionsa teorētiskajiem pētījumiem. Darbā ir 7 nodaļas, kurās sniegti gan ar modalitātes jēdziena izpratni saistītie jautājumi, gan pavēles izteiksmes teorētiskais un semantiskais lietojums, salīdzinot valodnieku viedokļus jautājumā par pavēles izteiksmes lomu izteiksmes kategorijas sistēmā, kā arī pievēršoties tās problemātiskajiem lietošanas gadījumiem. Pavēles izteiksme analizēta saistībā ar deontiskās modalitātes raksturīgajām īpašībām. Imperatīva – neimperatīva opozīcijas ietvaros apskatīta arī pavēles izteiksme un vokatīvs kā apelatīvuma izteicēji latviešu valodā. Semantiskā analīze veikta, balstoties gan uz izteikuma kā jēdzieniska veseluma un strukturālas vienības semantiku, gan salīdzinošā aspektā ar citvalodu raksturīgām pazīmēm. Pavēles izteiksmes formu strukturālās pazīmes un semantiskais lietojums analizēts, izmantojot A. Eglīša romāna ”Homo Novus” un plašsaziņas līdzekļos atrodamo valodas materiālu.

The main accent of the work is an analysis of the modal functions of imperative in Latvian, based mainly on the theoretical research of F.R. Palmer, V. Plungian and J. Lyons. The work is divided into 7 paragraphs, giving answers to the questions of the concept of modality, semantic and theoretical use of imperative, comparing the views of linguists on the role of the imperative in the system of mood category, as well as indicating the problematic use of this system. The imperative is analyzed in relation to the characteristics of the deontic modality. In the framework of opposition of imperative – non-imperative also is analyzed the imperative and vocative as predicates of appellative in Latvian. Semantic analysis is based on the semantic of expression as notional entirety and structural unit, as well as aspects of other languages are analyzed in a comparative manner. Structural features of imperative and it’s semantic use is analyzed basing on the novel ”Homo Novus” by A. Eglitis and linguistic materials found in the mass media.
