Grieķijas motīvs Paula Bankovska romānā „Eiroremonts” un Džona Faulza romānā „Burvis”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Grieķijas motīvs Paula Bankovska romānā „Eiroremonts” un Džona Faulza romānā „Burvis” tiek analizēts Grieķijas kultūrvēsturiskais materiāls mūsdienu latviešu rakstnieka P. Bankovska romānā „Eiroremonts” (2005) un 20. gadsimta angļu literatūras klasiķa Dž. Faulza romānā „Burvis” (1977), aplūkojot abus romānus salīdzinošās literatūrzinātnes diskursā, pievēršot uzmanību kopīgajām un atšķirīgajām iezīmēm. Īpaša uzmanība tiek pievērsta sengrieķu mītu funkcionēšanai abu romānu mākslinieciskajā pasaulē un Grieķijai kā romānu hronotopam. Bakalaura darba teorētisko bāzi veido pārskats par salīdzinošo literatūrzinātni, intertekstualitātes teoriju un mīta interpretāciju 20. gadsimta literatūrā. Rezultātā tika konstatēta abu romānu tipoloģiskā līdzība un apstiprināts pieņēmums par romānu „Burvis” kā romāna „Eiroremonts” ietekmes avotu. Bachelor’s thesis „The Motif of Greece in the Paul Bankovkis’ Novel „Eiroremonts” and John Fowles’ Novel „The Magus” analyses the material of Greece’s cultural history in the contemporary latvian writer P. Bankovskis’ novel „Eiroremonts” (2005) and the 20th century literature classic J. Fowles’ novel „The Magus” (1977), dealing with both novels in the discourse of comparative literature, paying attention to shared and varied qualities. Special attention is paid to functioning of Ancient Greek myths in the both novels’ artistic universe and to Greece as both novels’ chronotope. The teoretical base of bachelor’s thesis is formed of overview about comparative literature, the theory of intertextuality and the interpretation of myth in the 20th century literature. As a result there was established typological similarity of both novels and confirmed the assumption about the novel „The Magus” as the influence over the novel „Eiroremonts”.Keywords: The motif of Greece, comparative literature, intertextuality, demythologization, P.
