dc.description.abstract | Maģistra darba “Pragmatiskie saziņas principi publicistikā” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā publicistikas valodā darbojas četri Pola Graisa izvirzītie sadarbības principi, kas nepieciešami veiksmīgai saziņai, – kvalitātes, kvantitātes, atbilsmes un izteiksmes veida princips.
Darba pamatā ir trīs nodaļas ar apakšnodaļām. 1. nodaļa sniedz ieskatu saziņas un publicistikas nozīmē informācijas apmaiņā. 2. nodaļā aplūkoti un analizēti P. Graisa piedāvātie sadarbības principi, izmantojot gan latviešu, gan ārzemju teorētisko literatūru. Pētījumam izmantota atšķirīgai auditorijai paredzēta populāra prese latviešu valodā. 3. nodaļā aplūkoti citi veiksmīgai saziņai nepieciešami principi.
Darba gaitā noskaidrots, ka P. Graisa principi darbojas arī publicistikas valodā, tomēr pastāv būtiskas atšķirības starp to izpausmi dzīvā sarunvalodā un presē.

dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the master's paper “Pragmatic Principles of Communication in Mass Media” is to determine how the four Paul Grice’s cooperative principles – quality, quantity, relation, and manner, that are necessary for successful communication, work in the language of journalism.
The paper consists of 3 chapters with subchapters. The first chapter provides a background in the role of communication and journalism in the process of information exchange. In the second chapter the author uses both Latvian and foreign theoretical literature to examine and analyze P. Grice’s cooperative principles. During the research popular mass media materials in Latvian for different readership have been analyzed. In the third chapter the author examines other principles that are necessary for successful communication.
Through the development of the paper it has been concluded that principles of P. Grice are also true in the language of journalism, however, there are significant differences between how these principles are executed in natural spoken language and in the language used in mass media.
