Abstract

Diplomdarbā „„Eimijas Vanderbiltas lielās etiķetes grāmatas” literārā rediģēšana” aplūkotas un klasificētas kļūdas, kas sastopamas tulkojumā no angļu valodas. Tulkojuma pamatā ir amerikāņu autoru sarakstīta un 1995. gadā izdota etiķetes rokasgrāmata „The Amy Vanderbilt Complete Book of Etiquette”. Rediģētais tulkojums pieder pie tā sauktās padomu literatūras, un tajā saskatāmas vairāku funkcionālo stilu pazīmes, jo tiek lietoti dažādi izteiksmes līdzekļi. Diplomdarba teorētiskajā daļā dots neliels grāmatas un tās tulkojuma raksturojums un sešās nodaļās skaidrotas valodas kļūdas. Rediģētajā tekstā konstatētas atkāpes no literārās valodas ortogrāfijas un interpunkcijas normām, neprecizitātes formveidošanā, formu lietojumā un vārddarināšanā. Avotvalodas ietekme jūtama sintaktisko konstrukciju izveidē un leksikā. Vērojama angļu valodai raksturīgā vārdu secība teikumā, kalkētas konstrukcijas, nevēlami aizguvumi no angļu valodas, kā arī nepilnīgs vai nepareizs, vai pārāk brīvs tulkojums. Diplomdarba pielikumā ir tulkojuma teksts ar labojumiem. Lai skaidrotu kļūdas, izmantotas vārdnīcas, valodnieku pētījumi un atziņas. The thesis ‘The literary editing of the extract from ‘The Amy Vanderbilt Complete Book of Etiquette’’ researches and classifies the mistakes that occur in the translation from English into Latvian. The source text of the translation is an American author book on etiquette ‘The Amy Vanderbilt Complete Book of Etiquette’ published in 1995. The translation is a reference literature text, which includes different style features, as the text uses different ways of expression. The thesis theoretic part gives information on the book and its translation and also includes six sections on the language mistakes. Editing the translation text, the thesis author detected departures from the literal orthography and punctuation, inaccuracy in derivation and formation of words. The source language influence exposes in the translation text syntax, vocabulary and word order. Besides, there were found loan translations, irrelevant adoptions from English, and partial, loose and incorrect translation. The thesis is annexed with the edited translation. The author used dictionaries and linguistic research data to explain the mistakes. Keywords: translation, editing, language inaccuracy, incorrect use of language.
