| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The play by A. Chekhov „Three sisters” is analyzed in aspect of school and genre in this bachelor’s paper. There are also explored all the staging that has been put on in Latvian theatre since 1910. Together there are nice performances that are divided in three groups: traditional, modern and postmodern ones. The aim of this paper is to find out the possibilities of interpretation of the play and to trace which of them have been used in Latvian theatre. While reading the critical reviews and watching the last staging of the play in Valmiera, the author of the paper has made the conclusion that for the time being only small part of the incredibly significant material of the play is used. | en_US |
