Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot atšķirības cilvēku pārliecībās, vērtējot savu vai citu cilvēku uzvedību melošanās laikā. Iepriekšējie pētījumi rāda, ka cilvēki vērtē savu un citu uzvedību dažādi, neskatoties uz to, ka īstenībā atšķirību nav. Pētījumā ir izvirzītas 4 hipotēzes, ka vērtējot melošanas pazīmes: savā uzvedībā tiks atzīmēts melošanas pazīmju samazināšanās (a), citu cilvēku uzvedībā tiks atzīmēts melošanas pazīmju pieaugums (b), savas uzvedības izmaiņās tiks atzīmēts vairāk neverbālu uzvedības pazīmju (c), citu cilvēku uzvedības izmaiņās tiks atzīmēts vairāk verbālu uzvedības pazīmju (d). Respondenti bija no 18 līdz 27 gadu vecuma (46 sievietes, 27 vīrieši).
Rezultātā no četrām izvirzītam hipotēzēm divas apstiprinājās.
Atslēgas vārdi: melošana, pārliecības, pazīmes, skatupunkts The purpose of this paper research is to find out the differences between people's beliefs, assessing your own or other people's behavior during deception. Previous studies have shown that people assess their and others ' behavior differently, despite the fact that there are no differences in reality. There are four hypotheses advanced in the research - assessing the signs of lying: in own behavior, changes will be marked to decrease during deception (a), in other behavior, changes will be marked to increase during deception (b), in own behavioral changes, more sings of non-verbal behavior will be marked (c), in other behavioral changes, more signs of verbal behavioral will be marked (d). The research was an experimental study of intergroup scheme with your own or other person's behavioral rating accordingly. The research involved 73 people - 46 females and 27 males. Participants’ age is 18 – 27 years old.
There were two versions of the questionnaire used in the study (for yourself or other behavioral assessment), which content is a list of signs, that people belief are the most or the least associated with deceptive behaviors. Signs had been selected on the basis of the results of the pilot study (Lučkin, 2011), in which using the content analysis methods, 138 lying signs were revealed. The design of the study is based on the research carried out in 1996 (Akehurs, KĻhnken, Vr, Bull, 1996). Each questionnaire includes 54 sign of deception which the participants were asked to assess in their own or other people's behavior during deception compared with truth telling.
As a result, two of the four hypotheses advanced for this research, were confirmed. Results indicate that respondents assess other people's behaviors that are associated with deception as more variable. In other’s behavior have been noted signs of deception, which increase in frequency and/or intensity in a statistically significant way.
However, the hypothesis that people’s own deceptive behavior will decrease during deception are disapproved, which may be related to several reasons. One of them is a weak knowledge of people’s own behavior.
Assessment differences led to the conclusion that people are more based on stereotypical knowledge which, in turn, points to the fact that people in general are poorly informed about useful sign of deception and generally weak of deception detection.
