Epizodiskās atmiņas treniņa ietekme uz bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas precizitāti un daudzumu

Abstract

Pētījuma „Epizodiskās atmiņas treniņa ietekme uz bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas precizitāti un daudzumu“ mērķis bija noskaidrot kā epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš ietekmē bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas precizitāti un daudzumu. Šī pētījuma ietvaros tika izvirzīta viena hipotēze: Epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš palielina bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas daudzumu un viens pētījuma jautājums: Kā epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš ietekmē bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas precizitāti. Pētījumā piedalījās 76 bērni: 34 (44,74%) meitenes un 42 (55,26%) zēni vecumā no 7 līdz 8 gadiem (M = 7,51, SD = 0,50). Procentuāli piedalījās 48,70% 7gadus veci bērni un 51,30 % 8 gadus veci bērni. Eksperimentālajā grupā tika iedalīti 36 respondenti: 17 meitenes (47,20 %) un 19 zēni (52,80%) un kontrolgrupā tika iedalīti 40 respondenti: 17 meitenes (42,50%) un 23 zēni (57,50%). Bērni no latviešu vispārizglītojošā skolā 1 un 2 klases. Abu grupu bērniem tika rādīta īsfilmiņa, kuras aptuvenais laiks ir viena minūte. Pēc šīs īsfilmiņas eksperimentālai grupai tika izmantots epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš atbilstoši NICHD protokolam (Lamb, Hershkowitz, Orbach, & Esplin, 2008), savukārt kontrolgrupai tika piedāvāts pārzīmēt zīmējumu, kas nav saistīts ar atmiņas izmantošanu. Pēc tam abu grupu bērniem brīvā veidā pēc iespējas precīzāk bija jāatstāsta iepriekš rādītā īsfilmiņa. Epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš tika tulkots. Pētījuma hipotēze tika apstiprināta un atbilde uz pētījuma jautājumu: epizodiskās atmiņas treniņš neietekmē bērnu epizodiskās atmiņas precizitāri. Tātad, var secināt, ka pētījuma mērķis darba ietvaros tika sasniegts. Šajā pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti var kalpot par pamatu citu darbu izstrādei, izvirzītā hipotēze var būt pārbaudāma citu pētījumu ietvaros ar citām vecuma grupām.

The aim of the research „The influence of Episodic memory practice on child episodic memory accuracy and quantity“ was to ascertain how episodic memory practice influences children‘s episodic memory’s accuracy and quantity. Within the framework of this study a hypothesis was put forward: Episodic memory practice increases the quantity of episodic memory of children; and one research question: How does episodic memory practice influence the accuracy of episodic memory of children? There were 76 children who participated in the research: 34 (44,74%) girls and 42 (55,26%) boys at the age of 7-8 (M=7,51, SD=0,50). The percentage of those who participated was 48,70% 7-year old children and 51,30% 8-year old children. The experimental group was divided into 36 respondents: 17 girls (47,20%) and 19 boys (52,80%), and the control group was divided into 40 respondents: 17 girls (42,50%) and 23 boys (57,50%). Children from a Latvian comprehensive school’s 1st and 2nd grade. A short film of about one minute of length was shown to both groups of children. After this short film episodic memory practice according to the NICHD protocol (Lamb, Hershkowitz, Orbach, & Esplin, 2008) was exercised on the experimental group, in its turn the control group was offered to re-draw a picture, which has no connection with the memory use. After that both groups of children were offered to retell the previously shown short movie in a free manner as precise as possible. Episodic memory practice was translated. The hypothesis of the research and the answer to the reaserch question was confirmed: episodic memory practice does not influence the accuracy of episodic memory of children. Therefore, it can be concluded, that the aim of the research within the framework of the study was achieved. The results acquired in this research may serve as basis for the developement of other studies, the hypothesis which was put forward can be verified within the framework of other researches with other age groups.
