Video pamatskolas skolēnu klausīšanās prasmju attīstībai

Abstract

. Diplomdarba tēma ir “Video pamatskolas skolēnu klausīšanās prasmju attīstībā”. Tā mērķis bija noskaidrot kā būtu iespējams izmantot video angļu valodas stundās, lai attīstītu pamatskolas skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes. Diplomdarba autors iepazinās ar teorētisko literatūru par klausīšanos, kā mācīt klausīšanos un ar dažādiem klausīšanās uzdevumu veidiem. Dažādi video aspekti un veidi kā video var attīstīt skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes angļu valodas stundā tika izskatīti. Gadījuma izpēte tika organizēta Jēkabpils 3. vidusskolā. Skolēnu anketas atklāja skolēnu domas par video angļu valodas stundās. Klausīšanās uzdevumi, kas ir balstīti uz video tika izpildīti ar 5. klases skolēniem 2008./2009. mācību gada I semestrī. Šo pētījumu fakti atklāja, ka video ir uzskates līdzeklis, kurš attīsta skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes. Tajā laikā, kad skolotājas nav apmierinātas ar tehnisko iekārtu skolā, tikmēr skolēni uzsver, ka video varētu padarīt angļu valodas stundas interesantākas un arī valodu būtu vieglāk iemācīties. Tomēr, lai nodrošinātu veiksmīgu video izmatošanu angļu valodas stundās, izvēloties video materiālu un veidojot klausīšanās uzdevumus, daži nosacījumi valodas skolotājiem ir jāņem vērā, un tie būtu: skolēnu zināšanu līmenis, video materiāla aktualitāte, skolēnu intereses, skaidra izruna, skolēnu sēdvietu atrašanās klasē, tā, lai ikviens varētu redzēt ekrānu, kā arī tehniskais nodrošinājums.

n Abstract The theme of the Diploma Paper is “Video in Developing Primary School Students’ Listening Skills”. The aim of it was to find out how video could be used in English lessons to develop primary school students’ listening skills. The author of the Paper got acquainted with the theoretical literature about listening, how to teach listening and with different types of listening activities. The various aspects of video in English lessons including the ways how video helped to develop students’ listening skills were reviewed. The case study was organized in Jekabpils Secondary School No.3. Students’ questionnaire revealed their opinion about video in the English language lessons. The listening activities based on video were carried out with Form 5 students during school year 2008/2009 semester I. The data of these studies revealed that video was the visual aid which developed students’ listening skills. While teachers were not satisfied with the technical equipment in school, the students emphasized that video might make the English language lessons more interesting and language easier to learn. Nevertheless, to provide a successful use of video in the English language lesson there are certain conditions that the language teachers have to take into account when selecting video materials and preparing the listening activities, and they are: the level of students’ language knowledge, the topicality of the video material, students’ interests, the clarity of pronunciation, location of students’ seats so everyone could see the screen as well the technical provision.
