Sociālo attieksmju veidošana ar lasīšanas uzdevumiem 11. klasē

Abstract

Diplomdarbs tika uzrakstīts ar mērķi veidot skolēnu sociālās attieksmes ar lasīšanas uzdevumu palīdzību 11. klasē. Tēma tika izvēlēta sabiedrības vienaldzības dēļ un tāpēc, ka cilvēkiem netiek sniegta palīdzība, ja tā ir nepieciešama. Diplomdarbs sastāv no teorijas apskata daļas un atsevišķa gadījuma pētījuma daļas. Diplomdarbā tika izmantotas tādas datu apkopošanas metodes kā intervija un anketa. Lai uzzinātu pašreizējo situāciju valstī par skolēnu attieksmēm un iespējamajiem veidiem to mainīt, tika intervēts psihologs. Skolēni tika aptaujāti ar nolūku uzzināt viņu viedokli un attieksmes dažādās iespējamās dzīves situācijās, kad citiem cilvēkiem ir nepieciešama palīdzība. No attieksmju veidošanas un mainīšanas teorijām tika izvēlēta pārliecināšanas metode un izmantoti pieci lasīšanas uzdevumi, kuri tika izmēģināti angļu valodas stundās ar mērķi veidot skolēnu attieksmes. Apkopotās informācijas rezultāti liecina par to, ka skolēniem nepieciešams uzlabot viņu sociālās attieksmes, jo visbiežāk viņi izvēlējās nepalīdzēt nepazīstamiem cilvēkiem, jo tā neesot skolēnu darīšana. Viņi atsakās palīdzēt arī bērniem, kuri tiek aizskarti vai apvainoti. Iespējamās attieksmju izmaiņas nav iespējams izmērīt, tās var tikt novērotas tikai ilgākā laika periodā. Skolēni rādīja nelielas attieksmju izmaiņas, kad ejot ārā no klases viņi pateicās skolotājai par stundu, kā to bija darījusi pati skolotāja iepriekš. Tas pierāda skolēnu attieksmju mācīšanos ar novērošanas metodi un to, ka viņi pieņem citu cilvēku attieksmes un izmanto tās paši. Attieksmes veidošanās notika ar lasīšanas uzdevumu palīdzību un skolotājai bija iespējams pārliecināt skolēnus dažādajās diskusijās. Nozīmīgu attieksmju maiņu nebija iespējams novērot tik īsā laika posmā, tika novērotas vienīgi nelielas izmaiņas. Tas nozīmē, ka skolēniem ir nepieciešams ilgāks laika posms un darbs ar skolotāju, lai mainītu viņu attieksmi vairāk palīdzēt citiem cilvēkiem.

The Diploma Paper was written in order to form students’ social attitudes with the help of reading exercises in Form 11. The theme was chosen because of observed society’s carelessness and not providing help to others when it is needed. The Diploma Paper consists of theory review and a case study. Such methods of data collection as an interview and a questionnaire were used in the Diploma Paper. A psychologist was interviewed for finding out the current situation on adolescent attitudes and possible way of changing them. A questionnaire was carried out to find out students’ opinion and attitudes about different situations of life when other people need help. A persuasion method for changing attitudes was used and five reading exercises were tried out during the English language lessons in order to form students’ attitudes. The results from gathered data showed that students need the development of their social attitudes for helping others. Most commonly they choose not to help unknown people by explaining that it is not their business. They refuse to help also for children who are being abused. The attitude change after the exercises which were tried out is not possible to measure but they can be only observed in a longer period of time. Students showed little change of attitude when leaving the classroom after the lesson and thanking for the lesson as it was done previously by the teacher. It proves that students use observational learning and they tend to accept other people attitudes. The attitude formation process happened during the reading exercises and the teacher could persuade students to help others in different discussions. The time for significant attitude change was too short and only slight changes were observed. It means that students need longer practice and work with the teacher to change their attitudes for helping others more.
