Perspektīvas ieņemšanas un empātijas ietekme uz konflikta risinājuma izvēli

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Perspektīvas ieņemšanas un empātijas ietekme uz konflikta risinājuma izvēli”. Šīs darbs tika izstrādāts lai dziļāk izpētītu jautājumus saistītos ar konflikta risinājumu stila izvēli, perspektīvas ieņemšanas un empātijas nozīmi. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika uzsvērtas perspektīvas ieņemšanas un empātijas lomu nozīme konflikta risinājuma stila izvēlē. Bakalaura darba hipotēze paredzēja, ka perspektīvas ieņemšana sekmēs sadarbības vai piekāpšanas stratēģijas izvēli. Analizējot iegūtos rezultātus izvirzītā hipotēze apstiprinājās. Perspektīvas ieņemšanas un empātijas relatīvās ietekmes noskaidrošanai tika veikts pētījums, kura ietvaros veikta eksperimentālā manipulācija, kas ļāva noskaidrot, ka perspektīvas ieņemšana sekmē neitrālo konflikta risinājuma izvēli, citiem vārdiem sakot, izvairīšanos no konkurences stratēģijas izvēles un biežāku piekāpšanas stratēģijas izvēli. Pētījumam ir vairāki pozitīvi aspekti, izstrādātas metodes iedarbīgums, turpmāko pētījumu virzienu noteikšana, respondentu izlases uzskatāmība un citi. Iegūtie rezultāti ir saskaņā ar iepriekš veikto pētījumu atziņām. Bakalaura darba teorētiskā daļa satur četras apakšnodaļas, kuras izklāsta iepriekš veikto pētījumu atziņas par konflikta, perspektīvas ieņemšanas, empātijas un konflikta risinājuma stilu savstarpējo saistību. Metodes daļā tiek piedāvāti aprēķini iegūto datu statistiskai analīzei, kas apstiprina perspektīvas ieņemšanas ietekmi uz piekāpšanas stratēģijas biežāku izvēli un izvairīšanos no konkurences stratēģijas izvēles. Rezultātu un iztirzājuma daļā detalizēti interpretē metodes daļā iegūtos statistiskos rādītājus un ierosina turpmākus pētījumu veidus, kas ļaus precīzāk izpētīt empātijas un perspektīvas ieņemšanas ietekmi uz konflikta risinājuma izvēli

This paper has been written in order to deepen the existing research of various issues concerned with conflict resolution. In the frames of this paper the role of perspective taking and empathy while choosing the conflict resolution style was highlighted. The initial hypothesis predicted that perspective taking would have a positive influence on the conflict resolution choice facilitating the choice of cooperation or accommodation as the optimal conflict resolution style. The hypothesis was proven by the analysis of the data acquired through this research. In order to evaluate the comparative influence of perspective taking and empathy on conflict resolution style a detailed investigation was conducted. Within the framework of this investigation an experimental manipulation was introduced. The latter indicated that the perspective taking contributes to choosing a more neutral conflict resolution style. In other words, perspective taking stimulates the avoidance of competition and facilitates the incline to the choice of the accommodation style. The research has various strengths, such as the novelty and efficiency of the method applied, the suggested directions of future research, the transparency of respondent choice, etc. The results acquired are in accordance with the conclusions reached by prior researches. The theoretical part of the paper consists of four chapters which represent prior research implications concerning the nature of conflict, perspective taking, empathy and conflict resolution styles interactions. The practical part offers to overview the statistical analysis of acquired data which signifies an obvious interaction between perspective taking and accommodation style. In addition, the analysis confirms the influence of perspective taking on the preference of accommodation style and avoidance of competition style. The result and discussion parts interpret the statistical data obtained in the practical part and suggest further research to pursue a more precise interpretation of the influence of perspective taking and empathy on the choice of conflict resolution style in different contexts
