Pašapliecināšanās kā stereotipizācijas draudu mazinošs faktors

Abstract

Maģistra darba pētījuma mērķis bija pierādīt, ka pašapliecināšanās mazina stereotipizācijas draudus sieviešu matemātiski - loģiskajā darbībā, kā arī noskaidrot, vai šīs faktors uzlabo šieviešu darbību nedraudošajā situācijā. Eksperimentālajā pētījumā piedalījās 120 sievietes, Latvijas Universitātes PPF Psiholoģijas Bakalaura programmas studentes vecumā no 18 līdz 22 gadiem. Sievietes tika randomizēti sadalītas četrās grupās, katrā pa 30 cilvēkiem. Manipulācija tika veikta trijās grupās. Vienā tika manipulēts ar pašapliecināšanos, otrajā manipulācija tika veikta ar stereoipizācijas daudiem, trešajā gadījumā manipulācijas tika veiktas gan ar pašapliecināšanos gan ar stereotipizācijas draudiem. Vienā no grupām netika veiktas nekādas manipulācijas. Pētījumā tika izmantota pašizveidota metodika, uz kuru tika balstīts Olgas Cigankovas 2006. gada kursa darbs un 2007. gadā izstrādātais bakalaura darbs (Cigankova, 2006, 2007). Metodika satur 7 matemātiski - loģiskos uzdevumus, kuriem ir dažāda sarežģītības pakāpe. Manipulācijai ar pašapliecināšanos un stereotipizācijas draudiem tika izveidota instrukcija un papildus uzdevums, kurā bija jāranžē 11 apgalvojumi personīgas nozīmības pakāpē. Maģistra darbā tika noskaidrots, ka iespēja pašapliecināties mazina stereotipizācijas draudu ietekmi uz sieviešu matemātiski loģiskās darbības rezultātim. Tajā pat laikā nedraudošā situācijā iespēja pašapliecināties uzlabo sieviešu darbības efektivitāti. Ņemot vērā metodoloģiju, kas var ietekmēt pašapliecināšanās efektu - manipulācijas veikšanā pirms vai pēc pašdraudiem, kā arī manipulāciju daudzveidība, minimāli ietekmē rezultātus. The main purpose of this word exploration is to prove that the self-affirmation reduce the stereotype threat in the women’s mathematically – logical activity. The second target is to find out, does this factor improve women’s activity in not threatening case or not. There are 120 women who participated in the research. They are students at the age of 18 – 22 from the Latvian University PPF Bachelors in Psychology. The women were divided into four groups at random, 30 persons per group. Manipulation has been made in three groups. One of the groups was created to test the influence of self-affirmation on women activity, the second one – to test the influence of stereotype threat on women activity, and the third one – to test the hypothesis of the work about the self-affirmation as a factor which reduces the stereotype threat. There was used the methodology, that was developed by the author. This methodology was also used in the course paper of Olga Cigankova in 2006 year and in the bachelor thesis in 2007 year (Cigankova, 2006, 2007). The methodology consists of 7 mathematically – logical tasks with different complexity level. There was an instruction for manipulation with self-affirmation and stereotype threats developed. It was concluded that the possibility of self–affirmaion reduce the influence of stereotype threat on women’s mathematically – logical activities’ results. On the other hand, the possibility of self –affirmation improves the efficiency of women activity in not threatening case. Taking into account the methodology, which can have influence to self -affirmation effect in manipulation before or after self threats and also the manipulation, the variety have a minimum effect on the results.
