Ārpusklases lasīšana angļu valodas runas kompetences attīstībai 7.klasē

Abstract

Diplomdarba mērķis bija izpētīt, kā ārpusklases lasīšana palīdz attīstīt skolēnu mutvārdu prasmes angļu valodas stundās 7. klasē. Literatūra par angļu valodas mutvārdu prasmēm un ārpusklases lasīšanu tika pētīta, lai veiktu pētījumu un iesaistītu 7. klases skolēnus ārpusklases lasīšanas aktivitātēs. Lai īstenot šo mērķi diplomdarba autore nolēma veikt atsevišķa gadījuma pētījumu, strādājot par angļu valodas skolotāju vienā no Rīgas vidusskolām. Pētījuma izlasi veidoja 17 7. klases skolēni. Pētījuma laikā skolēniem darba autore deva iespēju attīstīt viņu angļu valodas mutvārdu prasmes ar ārpusklases lasīšanas aktivitāšu palīdzību. Datu vākšanai tika izmantota anketa, lai noskaidrotu skolēnu lasīšanas intereses. Turklāt skolēni kārtoja angļu valodas mutvārdu prasmju pārbaudes darbus un aizpildīta veidlapas atgriezeniskās saites sniegšanai.

The aim of the Diploma Paper was to explore how extensive reading activities help to develop Form 7 students’ oral proficiency in English lessons. The relevant literature about oral English proficiency and extensive reading was studied; extensive reading activities were implemented in the classroom. To achieve the aim the author of the Diploma Paper decided to make a case study, which was carried out in one of secondary schools in Riga while working there as the English language teacher. The research group consisted of 17 students from Form 7. During the research the author gave students an opportunity to develop their oral English proficiency with a help of extensive reading activities in the classroom.The source of data collection method was a questionnaire for the sample group. The questionnaire helped to find out students’ reading habits and interests. Other sources of data collection were oral English proficiency achievement test and students’ feedback sheets.
