Leļļu teātra elementi vārdu krājuma aktivizēšanai angļu valodā sākumskolā

Abstract

Veikalos un lielveikalos var atrast dažāda veida rokas lelles un tās ir iespējams nopirkt un ar tām spēlēties. Rokas lelles tiek izmantotas ne tikai rotaļās un spēlēs bet arī mācīšanas un mācīšanās nolūkiem mācību priekšmetos skolā, lai attīstītu dažādas prasmes vai iesaistītu citās skolas aktivitātēs. Diplomdarba mērķis bija pārbaudīt, kā leļļu teātra elementi palīdz aktivizēt sākumskolas skolēnu vārdu krājumu angļu valodas stundās. Diplomdarba autore vēlējās iegūt vairāk informācijas un zināšanas par leļļu teātra elementiem un kā rokas lelles var tikt izmantotas angļu valodas stundās jaunākajiem skolēniem. Diplomdarba tēma tika izvēlēta, jo vārdu krājuma mācīšanās ir primārā prasme sākumskolas skolēniem svešvalodā, un diplomdarba autors uzskata, ka rokas leļļu pielietošana angļu valodas stundās ir noderīga, lai aktivizētu vārdu krājumu. Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija gadījuma analīze Babītes vidusskolas 1. klasē. Datu vākšanas metodes bija novērojums, intervijas ar 1. klases skolēniem un aptauja angļu valodas skolotājiem. Diplomdarba autore izvēlējās konkrētās datu vākšanas metodes, lai noskaidrotu leļļu teātra lietderību aktivizējot sākumskolas skolēnu vārdu krājumu kā arī citus iespējamos ieguvumus izmantojot leļļu teātra elementus sākumskolas skolēniem angļu valodas stundās. Pētījuma rezultāti atspoguļoja, ka lielākajai daļai 1. klases skolēnu patika strādāt ar rokas lellēm, un viņi spēja atcerēties dažus jaunos vārdiņus, kad tie tika aktivizēti izmantojot rokas lelles dažādās aktivitātēs. 1. klases skolotāja, kura novēroja stundas, kurās tika pielietotas rokas lelles apstiprināja, ka leļļu teātra elementi ir piemēroti vārdu krājuma aktivizēšanai sākumskolas skolēniem un, ka tie viņus ļoti interesēja, jo viņi ļoti iesaistījās stundā. Skolotāji, kuri jau bija strādājuši ar rokas lellēm, atzina, ka rokas lelles palielina skolēnu interesi. Tika secināts, ka rokas lelles vajadzētu pielietot sākumskolas skolēniem vārdu krājuma aktivizēšanai, jo tā ir piemērota metode jaunākā skolas vecuma skolēniem, lai iemācītos un saprastu jaunas lietas. Turklāt, skolēni var vizuāli redzēt rokas lelles, komunicēt ar tām kā arī izteikt savu viedokli, un izpaust sajūtas caur rokas lellēm.

There are different kinds of puppets found in shops, supermarkets and it is possible to buy and play with them. Puppets are used not only for plays and games, but also for teaching and learning purposes in school subjects to develop various skills or include in other school activities. The aim of the Diploma Paper was to examine how puppet theatre elements help to activate vocabulary of elementary school pupils in English lessons. The author of the Paper wanted to acquire more information and knowledge about puppet theatre elements and how puppets can be used in English lessons for young learners. The theme of the Paper was chosen because learning vocabulary is the primary skill for elementary school pupils in foreign language and the author of the Paper considers that the application of puppets in English lessons are useful for activating the vocabulary. The chosen method of the research was a case study in Babite Secondary School in Form 1. Methods of data collection were observation, interviews with the pupils of Form 1 and a questionnaire to English teachers. The author of the Paper chose the particular data collection methods in order to find out the usefulness of puppet theatre elements for activating vocabulary of elementary school pupils and other possible benefits of using puppet theatre elements in English lessons for elementary school pupils. The research reflected that the majority of pupils of Form 1 enjoyed working with puppets, and they could recall new vocabulary words when they were activated using puppets in several activities. The teacher of Form 1, who observed the lessons when puppets were applied, acknowledged that puppet theatre elements were suitable for activating vocabulary of young learners and it was very interesting for them as they were very engaged in the lesson. Teachers who have already worked with puppets admitted that puppets raise the interest of pupils. It was concluded that puppets should be applied for elementary school pupils for activating the vocabulary as it is an appropriate method for learners of early school age to learn and understand new things. Moreover, the pupils can visualize puppets, interact with them and express their opinion and feelings through puppets.
