Pētījuma mērķis: Noskaidrot vai rotaļas un spēles sekmē pirmsskolas bērnu sociālo iemaņu attīstību
Teorētiskā daļa balstās uz Ā. Adlera, R. Bošas, K. Deķēna, D. Dzinteres, D. Elkoņina, E. Ēriksona, D. Lieģenieces, Ž. Piažē, J. A. Studenta un Ļ. Vigotska atziņām. Analizēta pedagoģiskā un psiholoģiskā literatūru par pirmsskolas bērnu:
•sociālo iemaņu attīstību;
•sociālām vajadzībām;
•sociālo iemaņu sekmēšanu rotaļās.
Pētījuma praktiskajā daļā tika veikts pētījums, kā rotaļas un spēles sekmē bērnu sociālās iemaņas, Jelgavas rajona Jaunsvirlaukas pagasta Staļģenes pamatskolas sagatavošanas grupā. Laika posmā no 2005. gada septembra līdz 2006. gada maijam pētījumā tika iesaistīti 18 bērni. Izstrādāti bērnu sociālo iemaņu vērtēšanas kritēriji un līmeņi. Izmantojot novērošanas pedagoģiski pētniecisko metodi, vērtētas bērnu sociālās iemaņas saskarsmē un sadarbībā. Pētījuma būtiskuma pārbaudē izmantota 2 (hi-kvadrāta) metode jeb Pīrsona saskanības kritērijs.
Pēc pētījumā iegūto datu apstrādes un būtiskuma izvērtējuma var secināt, ka rotaļas un spēles sekmē pirmsskolas bērnu sociālo iemaņu attīstību.

Aim of the research: to clarify if plays and games favour development of social skills of the pre-school children
The theoretic part is based on the ideas developed by A. Adler, R. Bosh, K. Dekena, D. Dzintare, D. Elkonin, E. Ericsson, D. Liegeniece, Z. Piazhe, J.A. Student, and L. Vigotsky. The pedagogic and psychological literature on
•the development of social skills;
•social needs;
•favouring social skills in plays
for the pre-school children are analysed.
In the practical part of the research, a study was carried out how plays and games favour the social skills of the children in the preparatory group at Stalgene Elementary School of Jaunsvirlaukas Parish, District of Jelgava. In the period from September 2005 to May 2006, 18 children were involved. Criteria and levels are developed to assess social skills of children. Using the pedagogical research method of observing, the children’s social skills are assessed in communication and cooperation. To verify relevance of the research, the method of א 2 (hi-square) criterions or the consistency criterion developed by Pierson is used.
After the processing of the obtained data and evaluation of relevance it can be concluded that plays and games favour development of social skills for the pre-school children.
