The author of the Diploma Paper studied the literature sources on emotional intelligence as well as the usage of role-plays and carried out a case study on implementing role-plays into the lessons of English in order to develop empathy skills in the primary school students.
The results obtained were satisfying and the author managed to achieve her aim and to increase students empathy level during the lessons, as well as to come up with good role-play activities for the students.
Despite the fact that the aim was reached, the author of the Diploma Paper considers the necessity of carrying out a much wider research in order to prepare and try out a greater number of empathy developing role-plays as well as to gather more data on the topic.
