Anotacija-Bakalaura darba pētījuma mērķis – noskaidrot vai pašcieņas kvalitāte ir saistīta jauniešiem ar viņu vecāku šķirto laulību, kā arī vai pastāv atšķirības romantisko attiecību dimensijās (intimitātē, kaislē, uzticībā) jauniešiem no nepilnām ģimenēm un jauniešiem no pilnām ģimenēm.
Pētījuma dalībnieki ir 60 respondenti no nejaušas izlases, 30 no tiem būs, kuriem vecāki ir šķīrušies un neviens no viņiem nebūs precējies, bet kuriem romantiskās attiecības būs jau vismaz 3 mēnešu, bet otri 30 būs jaunieši no pilnām ģimenēm un arī romantiskās attiecības būs vismz 3 mēnešus.
Analizējot iegūtos rezultātus, var secināt, ka jaunieši no nepilnām ģimenēm neuzrāda statistiski nozimīgas atšķirības ne pašcieņā, ne romantisko attiecību 3 dimensijās: kaislē, intimitātē un uzticībā. Pētījuma uzdevums bija novērtēt M.Rozenberga 15 pašcieņas apgalvojumus un 45 R.Šternberga triangulārās mīlestības skalas apgalvojumus, kas bija attiecināmi uz respondentu jūtam un domām pēdējā laikā. Secinājumi tika izdarīti, konstatējot statistiski nenozimīgas atšķirības starp abu grupu aritmētiskajiem vidējiem pašcieņā un romantisko attiecību 3 dimensijās: kaislē, intimitātē un uzticībā. Tas skaidrojums, ka vecāku šķiršanās gadījumā, destruktīvi iedarbojas nevis pati šķiršanās, bet gan tā nozīme, kādu tai piešķir paši vecāki.
Liela daļu ģimenes tiek šķirtas; iegūtie secinājumi atklāj – ar vecāku pozitīvas attieksmes iguldījumu bērna labklājībā, bērnos rada pozitīvu pašcieņu un neitekmē viņu romantiskās attiecību kvalitāti viņiem pieaugot.

The participants of the research are 30 young adults from divorced families, who have romantic relationships about three months and who are not married, and second particpants are 30 young adults, who are not married and have romantic relationship three months, too, but have not divorced family, aged from 18 to 25 years.
After analyzing the results, a conclusion can be made that in the group with divorced families the level of cooperation not rises. The first task of the research was M.Rosenberg “Self-esteem Scale” to scored his 10-question scale that was presented with four response choices, ranging from 9- strongly agree and 1-to strongly disagree and the second task was R. Sternberg “Triangular Love Scale” , where respondent had to complete the following scale, fill in the blank spaces with the name of one person that he/she loves or care about deeply. Then rate their agreement with each of the items by using a nine-point scale in which 1 = "not at all," 5 = "moderately," and 9 = "extremely.
Estimations showed that parental divorce does not influence the young adult self-esteem and romantic relationships.
