Mācību programmu veidošana pieaugušajiem.

Abstract

Pēdējo desmit gadu laikā angļu valoda ir kļuvusi nozīmīga zināma iemesla dēļ, proti, Latvijas iestāšanās NATO aliansē. Zinot un pārvaldot militāro un vispārējo angļu valodu, studentiem paveras iespējas apmeklēt militāros kursus ārvalstīs, piedalīties starptautiskās miera uzturēšanas misijās, kā arī veikt uzdevumus NATO galvenajā štābā. Šī darba mērķis ir veikt mācību programmas izvērtējumu Valodu skolā, izmantojot zinātniskās literatūras analīzi, ar mērķi noskaidrot pieaugušo mācību programmas veidošanas principus. Darba pētījuma daļā tiek veikta studentu vajadzību analīze, kas kopā ar iegūtajiem studentu mācību kursa noslēguma pārbaudījuma rezultātiem tiks izmantoti mācību programmas izvērtēšanā. Apkopojot iegūtos rezultātus var secināt, ka darbā izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprināta, jo studentu vajadzība pēc runāšanas tika apmierināta, bet Valodu skolas mācību programmas izvērtējums parāda, ka esošajai mācību programmai ir nepieciešams veikt nelielus uzlabojumus, lai mācību laikā pilnvērtīgi tiktu attīstītas visas četras valodu prasmes.

Within the last 10 years the acquisition of military English has become significant for a certain reason, namely, Latvia’s accession in NATO. Knowledge of military and general English provides students with the possibility to attend military courses abroad, participate in peace – keeping operations as well as carry out the tasks in NATO Headquarter. The aim of the Paper is to conduct the curriculum analysis at the Language School by applying the analysis of scientific literature in order to find out the principles of adult curriculum design. In addition, the students’ needs analysis has been used alongside the students’ final test results to conduct the curriculum analysis. The Paper’s hypothesis has been confirmed by the analysis of the collected data and the process itself revealing students’ need for practice of communication skills. However, the evaluation of the Language school curriculum also shows the need for minor improvements in the existing curriculum related to the integration of all four language skills.
