Brīvo ekonomisko zonu ietekme uz valsts tautsaimniecību Latvijā un pasaulē

Abstract

1996. un 1997.gados Latvijā uz 20 gadu ilgu laika periodu tika izveidotas četras brīvās ekonomiskās zonas. Šobrīd ir pagājusi puse no minētā laika, taču valsts varas institūcijas nav devušas mājienu par šo zonu turpmāko likteni. Līdz šim brīdim nav veikta ekonomisko zonu izveides rezultātu analīze, kas norādītu uz zonu izveides lietderīgumu vai pretēji. Līdz ar to šajā tautsaimniecības sektorā pastāv neziņa un tiek bremzēta konkrēto zonu darbība. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir veikt Latvijas brīvo ekonomisko zonu līdzšinējās darbības analīzi, kā arī noskaidrot citu pasaules valstu pieredzi ekonomisko zonu izveidē un uz tā pamata izteikt priekšlikumus Latvijas BEZ attīstīšanai nākotnē. Šis pētījums var tikt izmantots atbildīgajām institūcijām izvērtējot BEZ līdzšinējo darbību, kā arī veidojot to nākotnes attīstības politiku.

In the 1996 and 1997 there were four free economic zones established in Latvia for a period of time of twenty years. At this moment more than a half of the mentioned time has past, but the authorities haven’t given any information on the future of these zones. Up to date there are made no analysis on the operating results of the free zones, which would show the usefulness of these structures. Wherewith there is some uncertainty in this sector of national economy, what of course slows down the development of the zones. The purposes of this research are to analyze the results of free economic zones in Latvia and to discover experience of other countries of the world in establishing similar zones. And on base of that to make propositions about the ways of developing free economic zones in Latvia. This research can be used by authorities to analyze former operation of free economic zones in Latvia and to develop the future politics of them.
